Risk of Rain is a time sink, complete time sink, set aside a few hours for a run of this game. It's a good game don't get me wrong, that's why I'm recommending it to you, but its so long, especially to 100% it.

I'm 100% games and writing my experience about them. This game took me about 100 hours to 100% it at the time of writing, I enjoyed most of the play time spent, most of the time was with friends.

There wasn't much driving force for single player runs of this games, apart from achievements and the story doesn't have much driving force for me but the small amounts of lore scattered are enjoyable to learn about. The main driving force of Risk of Rain 2 is its multi-player experience. But this can also be a downside, having an absolute god on your team with every item in the game while you get one shot by some lesser wisp is very annoying.

All the characters are enjoyable to play with my personal favorites being Engineer and Loader. Each one has their own play styles and needing to use all of them to 100% the game didn't get boring. The Non-character specific achievements did get a bit annoying near the end of my journey. That's when friends come in handy for, start up a multi-player game, get some people to join you, and enjoy the chaos.

Get some friends together for a night and enjoy!

Its great with friends but a bit hectic. The bosses are all unique with there own challenges. I find the progression steady at the start but once in hard mode you can attempt a post plantara boss right off the bat and get a large jump in progress. Summoner is my favorite class but you have to go out of your way to obtain the staffs and armor while other classes commonly use ores and bars for armor.

It is enjoyable but very difficult. I was a bit hesitant to buy the game without looking into it because the game play looked to complex for my simple brain but it turned out fine. The beginning character was a bit hard to get used to for so I couldn't get really into the game as much as I do now. The game takes time to improve your skills and reactions. This means that this can be a time waster to get farther than before only to die to a boss that kills you every time.

With only having 8 hours playing this game, I have barely gotten past halfway. I recommend this game to whoever likes bullet hell games mixed with strategy games (I'm bad a genres) and anyone who likes fast pace games. If you wanna struggle, this is a good choice.

I liked the maps and the map making but the only thing that I would change is the difficulty level. I would allow the player to pick the difficulty in the maps. Like have different rewards for different difficulty.
