This is a fantastic game. Players are pushed towards working together not by some arbritary "keep close" mechanic or by a bunch of angry yappers yelling in their ear about abandoning their squad/team/buddysystem/zombiefrathouse, but by the plain and simple fact that it's just more fun killing loads and loads of zombies if you have a buddy at your back to keep firing when you reload and to save you from various excited zombies who want a hug or an autograph. It has an incredible replay value, and lends itself towards making friends and networks of people who all enjoy a good time shooting at angry zombies who want you off their lawns. If that doesn't sound like your cup of tea, then I'd suggest checking out the modding community, as mods are what make this game incredibly hilarious or incredibly scary.
