4.5 out of 5.

Keeping it brief: Like most people who have reviewed this game, I was blown away by it. If you're a fan of the Metroidvania style of action platformers in which you are rewarded for thorough exploration of environments, this one is not to be missed. Also, if you enjoyed the Virgin Interactive Disney games or animation in general, I think you'll really dig this one.

Pros:
- Great soundtrack (my girlfriend says it reminds her of Final Fantasy X's soundtrack in spots).
- This game oozes visual flare, especially the detail in the environments. It was made using the Unity Engine if that means anything to you.
- Controls are mostly very tight.
- Three of the four characters are female. That's pretty rare.
- Tears, but the good kind.
- Upgrades make your character super fast and agile, leading to some stylish combat and maneuverability.

Cons:
- Rush levels. These levels really suck the momentum and fun out of several segments of the game in my opinion. They're easy enough to master, but you're probably going to die a lot before you recognize what they expect you to do.
- Wall-cling-burst-jump-thing doesn't always work as you want it too. I played 15 hours and still struggled a little bit to get the timing right at crucial moments (again, rush levels).
- I'm personally not a huge fan of Ori's washed out design. In some scenes, she looks like a blob of light, which is probably intentional. I dunno. Just picky.

Verdict: Buy immediately. Space out to the title card music. Enjoy the journey.

But seriously, "rush" levels can S my D.
