Love the path tracing and graphical improvements! The game looks amazing if you have a great graphics card. The car also feels much more like a car rather than a laser guided rocket and the AI is more difficult (for the same difficulty number in F24 vs. F25)

Just having some intermittent random GPU crashes (NVIDIA RTX 5080) but they seem to be driver-related.

Very relaxing game. It doesn't have a lot of the difficulty from past games like damage and fuel. The main focus of this game is transportation and logistics. If you keep that in mind, then you'll enjoy this game. The crane controls can be confusing at first, but once you get the hang of it, they're a lot of fun!

Probably the first game in the trilogy to have me completely hooked! I love management games and it's so satisfying seeing the number of visitors go up and the ability and freedom to keep developing the same museum

EDIT (May 28, 2025): Constant barbarian raids, constant declarations of war, constant disasters and crisises... when does this game become fun?

Civilization VII is a huge step back. First of all, the UI looks like it was made to be on a touchscreen. It is inconsistent with some elements being skeumorphic but others literally being a grey rectangle. There's no way to scale down the UI (I'm on 1440p and 4k) and the elements are gigantic, making me feel like I'm playing a ported mobile game. The graphics of the map and units is great as well as the animations, but the menu, UI, and everything else seems like it was made to be played on an iPad. Additionally, interacting with other leaders has been nerfed-- if you get a trade deal proposal from another Civ, you cannot modify it (for example, if you wanted more gold from their side or you want to offer more). The "story moments" feel very random and doesn't tie in with my actual cities at all.

Maybe that's why they didn't show any UI in the Steam Store pages because of how ugly, unimmersive, out of place, clunky it is. I expected a lot more from the same developer who created Civ V and Civ VI... honestly, this feels like a mobile game first than a PC game. Nothing ties together. There's no dropdowns-- instead, you have to cycle through options by clicking (only good if you have a controller). It just shows how their focus was on the console experience and not the PC experience. Hell, maybe their focus was on the mobile experience.

I can't even say "one step forward, two steps back" because this is just fifty steps back.
I do not recommend anyone buys this game on PC. Maybe it'll a different story on console and mobile.

Rest In Peace to a legendary IP. They caught Lightning in a Bottle with the first Kerbal Space Program and I had so much fun, late nights, hype, and enjoyment from such a niche genre/title. I still remember the first time I landed on the Mun and Duna. I had high hopes for Kerbal Space Program 2 but corporate greed always comes on top.

I hope another space simulation title will take its place.

RIP Kerbal Space Program. You were my favorite o7

EDIT (May 6,2024): A great game that narrowly avoided getting ruined by corporate greed.

EDIT (May 4, 2024): Such a shame. Another great game ruined by corporate greed and mismanagement.

Original:

Good game and very fun, but plagued with non-stop crashes, freezes, and network issues. I have to play 3 rounds just to finish 1 round because one will crash and the other will timeout. Sometimes I would spend 40 minutes clearing the entire map and at the end, it wouldn't even matter because it will crash or kick me out due to network issues.

The developers should take a moment to fix the existing bugs instead of creating new content (which creates new bugs)

Everyone is complaining about this game being a "Pokemon"-copy and that the models were copied and AI generated the models and all around virtue signaling.

However, this game is what Pokemon should have been if GameFreak actually tried. But instead for the past decade, GameFreak have been creating shovelware on the same tier as Call of Duty, Madden, and NBA. Yearly releases with no heart, no innovation, and no creativity that are just relying on fans to buy their $70 games (actually $140 if you buy the pair) just because it has the "Pokemon" name on it.

Palworld is half the price (at $30) and way more fun and enjoying to play than any of the Pokemon games released in the last decade. Probably more fun than all the Pokemon games released in the last decade combined.

I've played Guild Wars 2, RuneScape, and New World so I'm familiar with grinding and working towards something. However, this game is grindy and boring. The NPCs say the same thing every time I visit a village and every item I want to make, like buckets for the village and bows for hunting, need to have a new building and a material that I can't get. It just feels like everything you try to do is gated by something which is gated by something else.

And in the meantime, your tools break after using them 5 times and you have to keep yourself alive (which is the point of the game). But it's too boring without small wins or new unlocks to make the game fun to play.
