(Ignore my game time, I play on a different account)
Wow. Just wow. This game is great. Deep lore with fantasy elements and featuring it's own mythology that is all provided in a nice coherent compendium that you can easily access at any given time, a ludicrous amount of quests, events and an ungodly massive cast of characters makes this one of the best text adventure/strategy games I've ever played. It even comes with an easy to comprehend tutorial that walks you through the basics of managing your tribe. It actually makes me think of Romance of the Three Kingdoms X except with far more events and quests that have some sort of effect on your Clan. It also does a great job of putting you in the seat of a Leader where hard choices have to be made, most of which are going to have major effects on the Tribe. Just as a heads up, don't piss too many people off, you'll regret it. Definitely a recommended title!

Simple, addicting and fun. While this doesn't have the depth of a Hearts of Iron game, it's still a hell of a lot of fun to build massive stacks of armies and steamroll every country that dare stand in your path. It all really plays like a board game, the seasons that limits such actions as spying or subversion to the "RISK" like combat system. It's definitely a good game for those days when you don't feel like spending a whole weekend fighting WW2 in HOI but rather conquering the world in just an hour or two.
P.S. Don't attack the AI too early. Big mistake.

UPDATE TO THE VIDEO:
Sorry about not mentioning the event system that is in the game, someone clarified for me that there is an event system already set up in it! :) Add that to the pros.

Absolutely phenomenal. This Hex/Turn-Based Strategy Wargame from The Lordz and Slitherine is probably one of the best Warhammer games I've ever played and easily one of the better Wargames available on the market. It brings back fond memories of Final Liberation's combat system with an unbelieveably exhaustive list of units made for both the Orkz and the Imperium of Man (Steel Legion, various Space Marine chapters including Blood Angels and Ultramarines) and even features a simplistic yet superbly voiced campaign mode that really draws you into the conflict for Armageddon. Each unit features differing weapons, art assets and each has it's own strengths and weaknesses (aka, Basilisk is ungodly terrifying at range but terribly vunerable if engaged in melee with a Big Dredd). While this isn't a new Dawn of War, it is no less a great game from the Warhammer 40,000 franchise and shows a promising future for the universe. Definitely a recommendation from this Commissar.

Addictive, fun and quite challenging. Studio Nyx has outdone themselves by making a faithful adaptation to the board game that features Electronic Warfare (Fog of War that would make Space Hulk take notice), balanced gameplay with varied character classes, and a rather extensive list of maps and objectives to complete on each mission. Those who have played the old school XCOM games (or Xenonauts) or Space Hulk will fit right in with this one. It's a little more fast paced than either but if one mistake is made, your whole team is going down, all the same. As a side note, I love the artwork in this game too... makes me think of old Comic books. This for only 19.99 is a damn good deal. Cheers, Slitherine Group.

Early Access Review
Basic Gameplay Overview:

Definitely one of the better Early Access titles I've ever played. Beautiful graphics, gameplay like Bridge Commander and FTL combined and incredibly difficult to boot. This game is an absolute treat. I can't help but feel like an actual Captain aboard a vessel in space... I've had to catch myself from saying, "Warp One, Engage!" while increasing the speed of my ship... if only someone added a Patrick Stewart voice pack then this game would be perfect.

Seriously though, there is a nice combat system that is based on color coded frequencies utilizing torpedoes, lasers and deflector shields. There are a plethora of alien races both friend and foe alike. A multitude of planets that you can send your away teams to, to find better equipment for your ship or just to salvage resources from on your long journey to a new home. You even get to customize the equipment on your ship and the crew maintaining it before you start your journey. Hilariously enough, you can even name them. There are also a ton of events that occur on the ship to make your life an absolute hell. And really, it's easy to tell that the games man challenge and focus is on resource management. You really have to wonder whether passing by "Pelia" was worth it when you're watching 100 civilians die a day. Protip, take more biomatter and oxygen than the others. Trust me, you'll be thanking me later.

All in all, this game is absolutely amazing and I readily recommend it to any, and everyone who ever dreamed of piloting their own Star Ship. Now excuse me, I take my leave to don a Fleet Commander outfit and blow up some alien scum.

God, I love this game. Maybe I'm donning the nostalgia shades here but this game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ great. Sure, the series strived on the controversy of violence, it exemplifies something that most games now-a-days don't care about. "What's that?" You ask, sweet reader, all beautiful and scared. "Simple my young gamer, it exemplifies fun gameplay." That's right, this is a game that actually has fun and addicting gameplay fun for adults and kids of all ages. Well, you know, aside from the MA rating it has because of the absolutely ridiculous amount of gore and violence present. But hey, I played it as a kid... why wouldn't you?

This game is simple. You run dungeons, defeating monsters by solving puzzles and matching tiles. You gather resources to rebuild your busted-up castle. Duldrum as that may sound, this game is an absolute blast. Low requirements, catchy music, and fast-paced, addicting gameplay makes this game a must buy for anyone needing to pass a little time. Definitely recommended.

I really like these games. It's like if the Total War games were all Real-time but scaled down to a more manageable, non-turnbased level. There are dozens of factions to choose from each with strengths and weaknesses and varied starting positions. If you don't want to play the grand campaign that focuses on Greece and parts of Western Anatolia, you can try to unite Greece as Philip of Macedon. You've got supply lines, varied unit types, naval combat, raiding, infrastructure and so much more. It's definitely a blast for anyone interested in either Real-time Strategy, 4x or Ancient Warfare.

I like it. Straight to the point right? Simply put, it's very similar to Heroes of Might and Magic (specifically 6) and Disciples except tone down the Fantasy about 5 notches and put it Medieval Germany. There are extensive upgrade trees for each unit with a very "figure out where to go" and "how to win" mentality in the game whilst still being very story driven. Graphically, the game is very pretty with a great soundtrack (I love good in-game music) that really works to immerse you in the world. It's definitely a good example of an Early Access game that was released a decent finished product on Steam compared to the garbage island levels of crap EA games that never finish or run out of funding (ie Spacebase DF-9). Of course, there are still some problems with the game but it's most nitpicky stuff that only someone like myself (who is so far up his own ass) would actually point out... like equipping items doesn't change your appearance. You know? Stuff like that. Summed up, I really like the game and I can't wait to log some more hours in LoE.

I want to start with the fact that I have never been a fan of AGEOD. I find their games very complicated and require huge time investments due to the steep learning curve... However, this game has made a fan out of me. After spending about 5 hours in tutorials, the game manual and replaying the Grand Campaign, I can finally say I understand how to play Revolution Under Siege. And what is under the hood of this game is simply amazing. An epic, period-piece soundtrack, indepth game mechanics that range from random Officer/unit spawns due to random events, Commander stats ranging from Seniority to Offensive Fire, and even tooltips and manuals full of gameplay information. I know that doesn't sound exciting at all but it actually creates a very well done strategy game that makes you feel like the actual commander during the Russian Civil War. I love the detail that went into the game... it's absolutely crazy how many stats each unit in the game has, the amount of factions involved, and the terrifyingly fierce AI. And do you not what my personal favorite feature is? Under the Objectives screen there is a losses counter!
