A pioneering classic. Black Mesa may get a bit tedious after cramped corridor #5363 (and the last chapter isn't all that amazing either), but the atmosphere and the larger setpieces are amazing to this day.

The platforming is incredible. Kind of a given though considering it's Meat Boy.

Suffers from pacing issues in the first half, but quickly gains momentum and becomes an absolute blast in the second.

For people new to old-school RPG's, I recommend downloading the mod "Morroblivion", which merges Morrowind's world into Oblivion's engine. Alternatively, "Skywind" has made some serious progress too and might be the first choice for players who got into The Elder Scrolls through Skyrim.

The reason I say this is because although I do think Morrowind was groundbreaking when it released, and still holds up in its worldbuilding, the gameplay is seriously dated. Accuracy checks and huge damage ranges for melee weapons (a daedric dagger I found had a range of 0-40 dmg) might just be the most egregious example, and will be a serious break in immersion for many players. Dice rolls worked fine for tabletop RPG's where you were expected to do calculations with pen and paper, but are seriously primitive for computer games.

Best single player first person shooter ever. Period.

The rpg elements are great and I really love the different factions. But the combat just ruined it for me. Maybe I'm not far enough into the game for weapons with good accuracy, but consistently missing enemies point blank with a so called sniper rifle just kills the fun for me.

If you enjoyed the original, you'll love this one.

What can I say. It's Portal 2.

This feels like a movie that interrupts itself all the time with quick-time events.

The graphics are great. The story is good. But the gameplay is absolutely abysmal.
