TL;DR
RPG: 9/10
As a Dragon Age: 8/10
Story: 6.5/10

During my gameplay, I didn’t see much "woke BS." Maybe that’s because I didn’t choose anything "strange." But honestly, Dragon Age has always had elements like that since the first game, so I didn’t care too much.

The game itself is pretty good for an RPG. Yes, it’s quite different from *Origins*, *Dragon Age II*, and *Inquisition*, but I didn’t feel a huge disconnect while playing it. Here are the pros and cons of the gameplay, in my opinion:

**Pros:**
- You gain a TAB feature for easy access to companion skills.
- The map isn’t as big as *Inquisition*’s; it feels more like the maps in *Origins* and *Dragon Age II*.
- Enemies can respawn in the map, unlike in *Origins* and *Dragon Age II*.
- You can parry and dodge now.
- No more lyrium—only rage and cooldowns.
- There are skill combinations and effects, which probably help compensate for the limitation of only 4 skills.
- The battle animations are great—much better than *Inquisition*.
- You can run during battles, which is a fantastic addition!
- You don’t die from falling—it just teleports you back (or maybe you can die? Not sure). Interestingly, you *can* kill enemies by knocking them off high places.
- The graphics are excellent—just turn off the bloom effect, and it feels like an upgraded version of *Inquisition*.
- Equipment management is much easier: no storage box needed since there’s no weight limit. The enchantment system is simplified—no more runes. Instead, you get upgrade features and rarity enhancements.
- You can use any equipment but customize its appearance, which is great. For example, you can wear light armor but make it look like heavy armor!
- You can still choose equipment for your companions, though it’s more limited (like an upgraded version of the *Dragon Age II* system).
- There’s a freaking gryphon!

**Cons:**
- The "T" feature is gone—you can’t directly control your companions anymore. Honestly, though, I rarely used it in DA Predecessor except during dangerous moments, mainly for using potions or skills on myself or companions. Still, it’s a loss for those who liked micromanagement.
- You can only bring two companions at a time, from previously 3
- Only 4 active skills during battles. 😢 I miss seeing my character surrounded by passive auras, like in *Origins*!
- No more horses, unlike in *Inquisition* (though you don’t really need them here).
- No more Dragon Keep.

**The Story:**
The story is pretty mind-blowing—it’s almost like saying, “Your religion is a lie,” which is both shocking and entertaining. It also feels a bit "purer," unlike its predecessors.

For example, this is Tevinter, right? Where are the slaves? If Tevinter was portrayed like this before, Fenris wouldn’t have been so angry. As for blood mages, maybe they’ve gone underground—or perhaps blood magic is so normalized in Tevinter that there’s no discrimination against it anymore. Who knows?

**Missing Features:**
Where is my Dragon Keep feature? That’s a huge downside. One of the reasons I love *Dragon Age* is the ability to carry over your choices from previous games into the new one.
Also, where’s Morrigan’s child? Yes, I met Morrigan, but the kid is missing.
And where’s Hawke? Shouldn’t he be with Isabela?
