Early Access Review
To start this review, I'll explain what The Escapists is. This game is an 8-bit simulation type. It makes you pick a character and gives you an insight in to prison life, as well as trying to escape the prison. You follow routines in order to keep the guards off of your back.

I like this game as:
1. It's original. I have never seen a game like this before and I tend to recommend original or uncopied games. The routines vary from prison to prison as well as the level of security so that not everything is a doppleganger of one another.
2. I find this game oddly addictive unlike some other games I have come across. I always try to escap with no avail yet I am always trying and trying again showing no signs of boredom whatsoever.
3. This game is in very early stages. There are some things I dislike about this game (e.g some items are too much of a challenge to obtain) but they will probably either be fixed or changed in later versions which means that most things that need fixing or changing will be fixd and changed by the time the game is finished.
