I write this review just for Steam Games Award badge. lol.

This is a great remake. People are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about the game soften the language (i.e. Colonial Age become Commerce age), which is funny and hypocrite because.. how come a game that centers its story and gameplay around Colonialism doesn't like the word Colonial). Anyway that doesn't bother me that much and can be fixed easily with a mod.
The game itself is still rock solid. it's exactly what you expected. AoE3, but modern.

I already own this game on PS4 for quite sometime. I know it's a great game but I can't play it due to the overdone of motion-blur and there's no option to disable it. Just tilting the camera a little will make the background goes crazy, literally make me sick and want to puke. So when I the PC version is announced and I see the Youtube trailer and they showed the menu option motion blur can be disabled, it's instant buy for for me, also it's cheap (around $15 in Indonesia).

The game had a bad launch, but at least the dev cares and keep releasing patches. I don't have performance issue on my PC (Ryzen 3700X + GTX 1080), but I too have many crashes. However after some reading, I enabled GPU scheduling option in Windows 10, and it's been smooth sailing since then.

Now, into the game itself. As I said the game is great, the graphic is amazing (for 2017), the story/idea is interesting, and more importantly, the battle and the game mechanic are fun and challenging. It's so entertaining that a casual pleb like me managed to get 100% achievement.

Pros:
- Robot dinos, and lots of variety of it.
- Battle/combat mechanic
- Story
- Graphic
- Robot dinos again!

Cons:
- Aloy's voice acting could be better, often she sounds bored.
- Some context sensitive action button needs to be really precise, often you need to be completely stationary in order for the context button to show (i.e.: when doing R1 to critical attack), this is quite annoying.
- Some chunks of the story are put in the data text scattered in the world, which I don't bother to reads.
- Technical issues at launch (mostly fixed now)

Final Score: 9/10 will fight that mofo Thunderjaw again!

For me, it's not easy to really get into this game. but once you do, you will be hooked. The maps are amazing. The replay value is very high. You will enjoy every moment.

Bonus: Agent 47's handler, Diana Burnwood's voice is so.. I don't know how to describe it. it's sexy, wise, powerful, intelligence. I watched Youtube videos just to listen to her voice. :D

This game is how a Mafia game should be. Charming characters, interesting story, funny dialogues. The game graphic is also still hold up in my opinion. The city is beautiful and atmospheric.
Score: 9.5/10. This game is way better than Mafia 3.

This is a decent AAA game, not bad, but definitely not memorable. The weakest of the trilogy. Graphic is beautiful at ultra, but Lara's character model is not that great compared to the previous two. Useless skill tree system since there is barely combat in this game. Puzzle is also easy, out of 9 tombs in the base game, there's only 1 that I need a guide to beat (that damn mirror tomb).

Still recommend this tho, if you're fan of Tomb Raider or adventure/exploration game. Get it if it's on deep discount. I got it from Humble Choice for $12 along with bunch of other games as well.

Tomb Raider (2013): 9/10
Rise of the Tomb Raider: 8/10
Shadow of the Tomb Raider: 7/10

Capcom has done it again. Giving their IPs well treatment that they deserve. DMC V is a solid game, not just as an action game but as a DMC game as well. The gameplay is very deep, easy to learn hard to remaster.

You can play as Nero, Dante, or a new character, V. Just with Dante alone, you will have these arsenals : Sword, Dual Gun, Dual Bazooka, Fighting glove and shoes, a shooting cowboy hat and scarf, Stick/Nun-chuck, and mother-freaking Motorcycle as your weapon, each weapon can be combined with 4 different "stance". The depth is insane. Other Character is fun as well, Like Nero which so many replaceable hand attachment, which ones of them are spaghetti fork, and a vibrator... yes you read that right. V might be the least interesting because you don't fight directly using him, you just control 3 animals (panther, bird, and a golem-like monster) to fight for you.

My complaint is that the game campaign is not long enough. and also it's super easy even though you're on normal difficulty. Nearing the end of the game, you will have all those awesome weapon, combo, etc, but the story will soon end. There are multiple much harder difficulty options unlocked after you finish your first play through. The game expects you to do multiple play-through to have fun with all those weapons and combos that you acquired on your first play-thorugh, which is OK, but I expect to have all those fun and difficulty curve along in a single play-through.

Graphic and sounds is awesome. The bug is non-existent. Game is smooth and bug free in my play-through. RE-Engine is my favorite engine right now. It doesn't require NASA computer, but the graphic is beautiful, especially in cut-scenes. (Ultra setting, 1440p, GTX 1080).

Score : 8.5/10

I played the original RE2 in PS1 to death up to the point I remember RPD police station like my own home. lol. I can't be believe it's been ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 21 years! This is a remake done right. So fresh yet so familiar. Plenty of bonuses and extra modes, no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ DLC and micro-transaction, excellent mod support. Well done Capcom! Now can you please scrap that Project Resistance crap and focus on RE3 and Veronica remake please....
score: 9.9/10. This is definitely my 2019 GOTY.

2018 was a great year for gamers, many great games released that year. I played all of the best contenders as I own a PS4 too. God of War, Red Dead Redemption 2, Marvel's Spider-Man, etc. But for me, Dragon Quest XI is 2018's GOTY. This is the best JRPG I've had for a looooong time. One of the few games on Steam that I 100% it.

I never really played Dragon Quest before. I had few hours with Dragon Quest VIII in PS2, and few hours of Dragon Quest IX in NDS, but it was never really catch me. The "young and cool" me thought that the game is too childish and I want to play "more mature" games instead. Oh boy I was a fool. Despite that, a few hours in into the game I was filled in with nostalgic feeling. Weird, heh?

PROS:
- Simple, yet amazing story, but not too complicated with political B.S like the recent Final Fantasy does (don't we all had enough with political B.S shoved on our face I.R.L? haha). The story and quests are full of positive vibes that make you feel good in doing it. It has deep character design. Each characters is unique and loveable.

- Amazing graphic, run flawlessly in 1440p with my old GTX 970. And you can't go wrong with Akira Toriyama's character design.

- Amazing World design, each town and location is gorgeous, every time you visit a new location you'll think that this is the best town in the game, until you visit the next town and you'll blown away all over again.

- Amazing music score, it's so great I don't want to skip the opening movie every time I want to play. The in-game music however is in MIDI format in order to relive the nostalgia of the old Dragon Quest series. Pro-Tip : Install the Orchestrated Mod, which will replace the music with the orchestrated one, and you'll set for an eargasm journey.

- Having a turn based combat in 2019 is a blessing. And even though the combat is turn based, don't think the camera will be boring as is old games. It's very dynamic and you even have an option to have free move/camera in battle.

-Those every little detail in the game that's too long to mention one by one. You'll know this game is made with love.

-Jade's cute face
-Jade's glorious boobs
-Jade's heavenly butts.

CONS:
I have to be nit-pick to mention the cons.
- Re-use of character asset, you'll often find same model of NPCs through out the game. It doesn't bother me a lot though.

- One third of the story is hidden, placed as post-game. So after you finish the game and the credit rolls, you still have a plenty of adventure awaits. The true ending reveal after you beat the post-game. Not sure how I feel about it, why don't just make it full from start to end in the first place?

- Some of the menu is weird, you'll have no real pause or quit button. Hit ESC to quit the game.

TLDR:
To summarize, Dragon Quest XI knows exactly what the fans want and simply deliver it in a perfect way. It doesn't bother much with innovation, but rather keeps what make a JRPG great and loved. This is a precious defender for old timer gamers like me from the world of micro-transaction and games as a live service crap that are becoming a trend in gaming industry nowadays.

Final Score:
12 out of 10.
