This game is great and I don't usually like this genre. Tight controls, varied movesets, gorgeous pixel-art. Fun cameos too, as someone who loves a lot of aspects of the marvel universe, small stuff like Jean making cheeky jabs about her frequent un-dying and the inclusion of several color palettes from MVC2 really show the developers love the source material.

9/10, a few bugs have been encountered so far (and not just the antagonists), but this is exactly the kind of retro homage I love to see. I think the price is fair as well, given there are many fun challenges to complete (which I also usually don't do, but I truly enjoy the game enough to do as much. The developers also provide a reading list, which is hilarious, although not necessary.

It would be awesome to see Gwenpool get added in a future update or as DLC. I like hearing the occasional 4th wall breaking quip from Jen and think they could do some fun stuff with Gwenpool's fangirlish tendencies.

Never add Deadpool.

Momodora: Moonlit Farewell is a beautiful game. We see here the culmination of everything great about the prior entry, iterated upon and often surpassed in all new ways. The art, music, environments and gameplay are of the utmost quality. I struggle to find critiques of this game, and can offer only two nitpicks.

More Dora. I love Dora and her relationship with Momo is so cute. This is actually praise in disguise, isn't it? That the game has characterization so strong I feel like I need more of it expeditiously?

The Sigil mechanic allows for an exciting degree of customization that RUTM did not have, however, you can absolutely capital B BREAK the combat with it. I am NOT really a fan of the "brutal difficulty" trend in many entries in the Metroidvania genre, however, I will say that my normal difficulty playthrough was at times quite easy. If you're looking for brutal difficulty, well, maybe Silksong will come out in 2040.

However, if you're looking for an immensely fun, artistic, heartfelt and above all else beautiful experience, look no further.
