I brought NMS at release, played 36 hours trying to get that sweet end game. Finally got THAT slap in the face after countless bugs, poor performance and serious lack of content, so promptly uninstalled.
I decieded to re-install about 12 months ago, and give it another chance. And what I found was the same unoptimised, laggy mess of a game. But with base building.
So with NEXT I gave it another go, and although the devs have put in some serious work to get this game to where it is. Its still a laggy unoptimised mess, with some extra polish.
I wont deny that this game is definitley worth £20 . But after 2 years, I still cant play this game smoothly on an ultrawide with a VEGA 64!!!. Installed on an SSD using a Quad core CPU @ 4.6ghz... what more does it want from me?
Not to mention the game breaking bugs, CRAZY stuttering, same planet style/ repetition of plants and elements, no ship customisation, and the empty/ yet strangley populated feeling of the univerese. Having ships spawn in after you arive into a barren station is just as bad as not having them at all. Why are aliens living on planets i just 'discovered'? And why did i get a Free giant A class freighter???? thats just removing things to work for, and surely supposed to be an end goal?

Even with all this new content, I cant look past the poor optimisation, extreme lag and lack of end game.

Ill be leaving this one in my steam bin.

Be happy you had accidentally a free freighter. I lost my whole base. Yes, it's gone. I don't even remember where it was, but I can't teleport there (before I was hopping back and forth via any space station and the base), so it's gone.
