Escape Room/Deckbuilder/Rougelite

Reminds me a bit of Slay the Spire but with some more depth. Music is rad and the game throws you plenty of twists and turns without being jarring. Play this game.

I generally don't like rogue-likes, but I love Hades. Between the endless content, voice acting, storytelling and gameplay this is a game you must pick up. And for $25?! It's a no brainer.

Chapter One
Pros:
-laid out a good story and path for Chapter 2 and 3
-Memory mechanic actually held weight in certain situations
-Feel connected to both characters
-Visually a beautiful game; the scene where you are in the store was fantastic felt like i was in my hometown local store

Cons:
-Some gameplay gripes with dialogue (interruptions mostly)
-Order of discovering new "points of interest" mattered too much sometimes; broke immersion a few times. If I find an item or talk about something before I'm supposed to....my character should at least still be aware that they discovered it. I'm probably not describing that well but makes sense to me.
-Chapter One is a little short and ends rather abruptly.

Overall, would recommend the game for those looking for a good story with an excellent sense of setting. You really feel connected to your surroundings. The story will keep you engaged and also have you wanting more. That's what you want from episodics!
