Had to post a review because this game deserves a lot more love!

This game is a pure arcade roguelike and is one of those games where the whole is much greater than the sum of its parts. The controls are tight and the characters are so fluid making it a blast to fly around the pinball esque levels.

Add in the great soundtrack, sweet visuals and roguelike you get stronger as the game gets harder and you find yourself with the video game version of crack.

The devs should consider keeping the demo available. I had the fortune of playing the next fest demo and it's what convinced me to get the game. Something about how great this game feels to play doesn't quite translate to the videos of it in action.... This has dead cell levels of flow state where you become one with the combat

Highly recommend giving this game a shot!

I've only played this game for about 2 hours so far but I have loved every second of it and can tell this will be a great game. This game has given me more NES legend of zelda vibes than any game I've ever played. Everything from the animations, sounds, controls, upgrade progression, enemies, exploration etc. is just done to perfection. Definitely worth a purchase!

There were times when i thought this game was too hard and I gave up on it. Missing the nail upgrade (Bellhart is 2 stories!!!) in the beginning made the game way too difficult for me for most of the first 2 acts. But the game honestly got easier from that point on. to the point that i spent 91 hours finding everything i could and 100% the game (which i rarely do). best metroidvania ever made! Also, Act 3 should not be optional.. its got the best parts of the story in the game.

Incredible game. For me it is right there with hollow knight for best metroidvania. Lore and world building go to hollow knight, but pure combat definitely goes to nine sols. I haven't beaten the game because I need to get gud, but I can't recommend this game enough!

Bought this on day one due to how amazing Hades is. Never played it til last night(a year later). I was originally planning on waiting til 1.0 but I decided to pop in and see how it is. 6 hours later I finally stopped playing. It's amazing. Continuation of the excellence that is Hades. Can't wait for more updates! A true gem of a series!!!

Breathtaking experience in VR. This game seemed impossible as a kid. 13 year old me would never have guessed that I'd beat the game while actually "being" in those worlds. If you like puzzle games, you probably already own this but buy it again. This version is Wonderful!

Lonely mountains: Downhill was such a surprise hit to me. Never thought I'd like a mountain biking game so much. When I saw this I knew I would love it. Sure enough this game brings everything that was do wonderful about their first game to some skis. I've played maybe 20 minutes but it's already extremely easy to recommend this game. Gonna be my daily train commute game for awhile!

I've been playing this in VR with Luke Ross' mod and it's such a wonderful experience! I'm having an absolutely wonderful time exploring Pandora. Can't wait for the next time I throw on the headset and link back up with my Avatar lol. If you have a rig to pull it off, I highly recommend giving this game a chance in VR

I bought this game in the summer of 2024 and returned it due to a lot of graphical issues(shadows only appearing in one eye) that made the game unplayable. I saw they recently upgraded the game to unreal engine 5 and fixed a lot of the issues so I decided to give it another go

I'm so glad I did! The game has been a lot of fun so far(I think I'm close to the end). The puzzles have been easier than Obduction and a lot easier than Myst and RIven but I've still really enjoyed the game.

For me, the sense of scale is just so fun to see in VR. Cyan are masters at making cool worlds and crazy steam punk machines and puzzles. Little things like riding an elevator or looking out through the large glass windows at the top of a tower are just hard to describe.

There was some jank, and the game is definitely lacking in VR interactivity with the world(touching a wall, picking things up, etc.) however the interactivity and scope of the worlds do more than enough to suck you in

I think this game is a great gateway game into their other more difficult puzzle games.

I've only played this for about a half hour. i've played the demo a lot longer. the experience of swimming in vr in this game is absolutely incredible! I have a heathy fear of the ocean and sharks and this game is really pushing those fears out in the open but also helping me deal with those fears... Incredible that a game can achieve this amount of realism.
