Sony removed the PSN requirement, game has had a bit of time to cook so most of the bugs are ironed out, some jank is still present (such as not being able to see friend requests unless you turn on crossplay). Still missing the squids but the devs release content quite regularly. Premium currency can be looted in missions and resources are shared across all players. My only complaint about the first game was the screen being locked to the players and the top down view so this is everything I wanted out of helldivers 1.

Game works again after a keyboard cleaning, Easy Anti Cheat was killing my client because my W key would double tap and it was tripping the macro abuse. That's... a little oversensitive but i'm glad they are finally putting in effort to block cheaters

I really like everything about this game except the off center crosshair. I guess that's never going to change.

I want to like this game, but I don't see how i'm supposed to be able to aim when the main ability for the character I like (Octane) changes my sensitivity. Iron sights on different guns have different sensitivities as well so I just ignore rifle, lmg, and sniper class weapons unless I can find at least a 1x scope. Why are FOV changes forced?

Edit: After a bit more testing I've managed to force the game past 110 FOV to match Octane's stim FOV using "cl_fovscale 1.7" in an autoexec config but after all this it STILL changes the mouse sensitivity when i use the ability. Apparently this bug was fixed in season 3 and returned in season 6. This affects Bangalore's double time as well as Bloodhound's Beast of the hunt in addition to Octane's stim. There are also currently at least 9 different sensitivity settings in the game with only options to tune 8 settings. Rifle/LMG/Sniper all use a different modifier compared to SMG/Shotgun/Pistol (except the RE45 what the hell is wrong with that thing it uses hipfire sensitivity for ADS)

What a mess

Edit 5/19/2021: After even further tinkering I've discovered that Octane actually uses 115 FOV and not 120. The game uses the formula "cl_fovscale * 70 = FOV" so to adjust your game for Octane (and other speed boosting legends) you need to set your cl_fovscale to 1.64286 The in-game FOV shows the wrong value and it rounds the number based on some arbitrary multiplier i wasn't able to find. This is still a source game at its roots and source games support six digits so you can get a fair amount of accuracy despite what the game tells you.

tl;dr: cl_fovscale 1.64286 for Octane/Bloodhound/Bangalore

I haven't found a workaround for ironsights
