So this review bombing isn't going the way you expected.

For real though, game looks great, I'll be sure to give an updated review with actual content when I am able to give this game my full attention.

Don't let twitter freaks bully indie devs.

The writing got worse... A lot lot worse, sorry, I don't think ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bitcoin references are going to age this game well I was willing to put up a lot because I love the Three Kingdoms. So much so I've written a novel and a half of a parody of it. Cryptocurrency and NFT references is the straw that broke the camels back.

It's such a shame, because I feel like their is something great here. But keep in mind most of the game is reading, and the writing is god awful. Even if you love ROTK and Three Kingdoms, avoid this game. It's not worth whatever they charge to just feel disgusted in yourself for playing it.

Original Review:
I think the game is decent. I love the Three Kingdoms setting, I loved the first Reigns. However, the writing can be distractingly bad at times. I think a game that is 90% reading having writing that takes you out of the game or causes your eyes to roll is a big problem in the game. However, while this is a huge issue with the game I do still find myself enjoying it. It's just, not nearly as good as it could have been.

I cannot blame the reviews being mixed, but if you like the Three kingdoms enough, perhaps you will be like me and are able to grit your teeth at some pieces of terrible writing to find enjoyment in a Reigns game set in Three kingdom era.

If you're not into Three Kingdoms at all, you can probably just stick to the well written first Reigns game.

The game is fun. People have been asking for something like this for years. Nintendo, pulls a Nintendo and never listens as fans of pokemon laugh at the requests. Someone does listen, and of course people are excited to play what they have been hoping for. I've spent a bunch of hours on it and I'm still impressed with the absolute scope of the game. I haven't touched multiplayer so I can't comment on that, but just singleplayer alone made this game feel great and worth the price. And it's not even finished. I don't think you will regret it at all. It's legit a game people have been asking for for years and years and the devs actually listened.

This is how you make a successful game, listen to what consumers want, and give it to them.

Final Fantasy V is a great game and is my favorite Final Fantasy game. However, this is not the ideal way to play the game in my opinion. If you've come in from playing the PS1, or Snes version, this game will be superior version to those ones. But I'd recommending finding ways to emulate the Gameboy Advance version (And VBA is notoriously easy compared to other emulation). This version of the game lacks postgame content that was introduced in that version. The lack of it, is extremely jarring as this is supposed to be the definitive edition.

While I bought this version and played it for a bit, I feel the GBA version is overall just an upgrade as this doesn't do too much more special. Additions feel unnecessary, while some aspects, like the bestiary being inaccessible from in game and has to be accessed through the main menu, (When this game has plenty of drops or steals, you may want to grab the rare steal, but you won't know they have a rare steal until after you save and return to the menu. Against bosses this can be a pain to have to go around). The awful IOS port that was originally on Steam even had the GBA additions. So delisting that one (while it was awful) is just a weird move if they didn't want to bring over the postgame. While normally, postgame isn't that important in most Final Fantasy games, this is the game where you are constantly improving the same four characters to the point you feel absolutely overpowered mastering the classes. If there was any Final Fantasy pixel game that needed it's post game, this would be it.

So while a good game, I wouldn't recommend spending too much time on this version. Buy it so you have a clear conscious when you emulate the GBA port I suppose.

Another excellent take on the ROTK IX and XI style. Keep in mind, this isn't the type of one you control one officer with making bonds like X and XIII. But it does its gameplay very well, introducing control and supply line are excellent additions. While at first the more automated system for battles took some time to get used to, but seeing how certain officers can mess up commands or you have to adapt around due to their personality and negative effects it really grew on me. I have many stories of a "Reckless" officer pursuing an officer, which forced me to adapt my plans based off a mistake of that officer. It does make you feel like a general and having to keep track of personality traits of your officers to trust them with the situation. Which I think is different enough from ROTK XI to get a pass while being a much bigger game in scale from it.

My biggest negative with the game is the lack of officer creation, while we have 150 custom officer slots, this is 850 less than the last game. In this game, every officer will have a use, you need plenty of trash and filler officers in your force to help build your economy and be overseers for villages. So if there was any game to have the 1000 Officer cap, it would have been this one over XIII. (Also strange since the custom portrait creator still has 1000 custom portraits. So not sure if so many officers was creating a problem with the game and they needed to adapt last minute.)

Trust me, I am the last person to defend a 70$ price tag, (Make sure to grab it on sale) this game gives you enough content with everything that the asking price is actually worth it. I do not regret spending the money on this game, and if you were a fan of ROTK XI or IX style of playing, I'd recommend it. Just keep in mind, it is different enough it is not a replacement for XI, but it is pretty darn close. For those that enjoyed the building system of ROTK XI, you'll love this one even more.

This is a better Ogre Battle 64. Negative reviews forget many of the unbalanced issues, rng and bugs needed to get over awful game mechanics in Ogre Battle 64 (Who can forget balancing alignment?). I couldn't put this game down.
While certain games try to capture old classics feel, Dark Deity with classic Fire Emblems, Fell Seal with Tactics Ogre. This was the one game I've played of spiritual successors that surpassed it's older classic in all ways. If you played Ogre Battle 64 and liked it, buy this, you will not be disappointed. The "Overwhelmingly Positive" doesn't lie.

They even have some endgame content, although simple, is great fun once you've beaten the game. I can hope someday a New Game+ will be added.

The worst if I had to say something, was a few of the maps, Most of the maps were excellent and felt right out of FE4 in terms of size and scale. But a few maps (Say 1-3) have narrow pathways that can make it extremely hard to beat the stage in the S rank time limit when your units are clogging up the single tile hallway.

Holy crap guys. They did it again.

For those of you who are blessed to not know the past History of Aven, I fell in love with the original Siralim, however when the second game came out I guess I had issues with some changes. To make it short: Extracting cores was a painful grind, dragon quest monster fusion system with none of the feel of the progression, constantly respec your creatures and have them lose the abilities they have that you built your team around. Overall, we didn't see eye to eye.

After years I decided to give Siralim Ultimate a fresh start, I wanted to give it a fair shake, I came in having to curve my thinking I caught myself saying "In the original Siralim..." in which I had to stop myself. In order to give this game a fair shake, something I was unable to the sequel.

Beyond my expectations, I'd say this game is a great challenger and arguably an improvement to the original Siralim.
Honestly the biggest complaints is a few story related ones, but given how the story really doesn't matter in Siralim in the slightest, this is really just nitpicking:
The sense of humor is really juvenile.
And there's some consistency issues I have with the original (they reboot the story each entry though, so that really is just "as a fan of these two characters in the original, I don't like how they were just glossed over and when you do see what they did I never saw them as that in the original game")

But once again, if these are my biggest complaint on the fun grind that is Siralim Ultimate, that's really just petty and nitpicking.

What improvements did the game make over 2? Well, 2 had a giant issue I had with it, which the fusing system was a flawed system to build the game around. They combined too much of a DQ monsters mechanic (Fusing to make stronger tier monsters) with a pokemon system (Every pokemon has a use) which in turn, doesn't really give a sense of progression, sure EVENTUALLY you could grind to make it easier, but it always had the feeling of two steps forward, one step back.

Meanwhile this game takes the Pokemon Fusion approach, Instead of making a stronger tier monster, fusing two monsters combines their abilities on one monster. While this feature was in Siralim 1, it was a very long grind with heavy rng reliance to make the correct combination. Here, it's extremely simple.

I'm 50 hours into the game (Granted, a few hours were left idle) and I only JUST built my second team for another class. Speaking of classes...

You can swap classes in this game, just like the original game. However, instead of the five you have with a few passives that help, in this game you have nearly twenty classes, each with many unique passives that encourage different team building. Even then, there are so many monster fusion combinations most teams will be original with the mixtures. For example I started as a Cleric, because in the original game Life was my favorite class. I ended up building a team of six, and there were so many combinations that could have been used in my team that I unlocked later. So not only does each class use different team building styles, they also have way more than just one combination of team that fits well with it.

I honestly could go on for quite a bit more, but I've been typing for a while. Overall just play it. If you like monster catching games, this is an insane one and is an instant recommend from me.

As much as I want to recommend this game, it just feels too unstable on PC. It's a great older Fire Emblem game. But I'd recommend it on Switch, not here. Firstly it launches an ad for Freedom Games, every, single, time you open it. Now that in itself is annoying, but not exactly a dealbreaker. There's no suspending or battle saves, which you might think "Wow that's not necessary for a Fire Emblem game." You'd be right, but when the game consistently crashes at the very end of chapters, so you have to repeat the hour+ long chapter again, that's when something like that needed to be implemented. Or they could fix the crashing problem which they clearly haven't since I had to redo a chapter, twice, crashed both times. Not worth wasting your time any further.

Overall, no matter how much this game offers, I cannot recommend an unfinished, unstable game. Even if you're a big Fire Emblem Fan, this game should be in stable working condition before someone tries to sell it to you.

It's a relaxing clicker game but without worrying about save files. So the cost is mostly just for the convenience.
