Me as a pro Dark Souls player who has played every souls game from Dark Souls 1 to Elden Ring i would very recommend to start off with Dark Souls III. Why am I saying this? Because it is very simple. You start off without any clue how to progress but after a while off playing you are begining with the progress you cannot skip any main Story things without any glitches so this makes it easier. Elden RIng is also a very good game but I do not recommend to start with Elden RIng. For Souls beginner this game is perfect. Have fun and do not give up everything is possible with a bit of grind
