What is going on with WB? It appears their primary focus is on profit rather than delivering quality content. The game's content is minimal, and the microtransactions are excessively expensive, making it feel like they're prioritizing financial gain over the player's experience. Furthermore, the gacha pool is very limited. After opening it ten times in a season, players are forced to wait until the next season for more rewards, which feels restrictive and frustrating.

Comparatively, their older game, Mortal Kombat 11, offered a wealth of content that was almost overwhelming. The character customization was far superior, with each character having three gears to change and individual character towers to explore. This level of depth and personalization is sorely missing in Mortal Kombat 1, making it feel like a step backward in terms of player engagement and content richness.

Additionally, the story in Mortal Kombat 1 feels rushed. While it started strong, it quickly accelerates towards the ending, leaving many character struggles unexplained or inadequately addressed. The narrative development seems incomplete, which detracts from the overall experience.

The only redeeming aspect of this game might be the new gameplay mechanics, which do add a fresh dimension. However, if you are looking for a game to immerse yourself in and play extensively to earn unique cosmetics, this new Mortal Kombat is not for you. Save your money and look elsewhere for a more fulfilling gaming experience. Or just comeback to Mortal Kombat 11
