Ignore the judgments, I actually enjoyed Assassin's Creed Odyssey so much. I still remember the thrill of sailing across the Aegean Sea, exploring every island, uncovering ancient ruins, and battling mythological beasts. Sometimes, I even redownload the game just to relive those moments. I just got 100% achievements, and honestly, it still hits just as hard as the first time.

The gameplay is a vast open-world RPG playground. You can build Kassandra or Alexios into a brutal warrior, a silent assassin, or even a charismatic diplomat who talks their way through challenges. Whether you're charging into Spartan warfare, sneaking through enemy camps, or headshotting foes from miles away with a bow, Odyssey offers the flexibility to match your style. Of course, there are flaws—the AI can be a little wonky, and sometimes enemies seem to have eagle vision even when you're hiding in a bush across the map.

The story hits differently depending on how invested you are in the game's role-playing aspect. The family narrative was emotional, and while some dialogue choices felt weightless, others carried real weight and consequences. The Cult of Kosmos storyline was intriguing, but yeah... the pacing got a little stretched out sometimes.

The missions? Okay, fair point—they can get repetitive. Go here, kill this, talk to them, fetch that. But let’s be honest, older Assassin's Creed games had their fair share of rinse-and-repeat objectives too. The difference? The freedom of Odyssey's world makes even repetitive tasks feel like part of a grand adventure. Plus, the side quests? Chef's kiss. Some of them are quirky, others emotional, and then there are the legendary hunts and mythological creature fights that genuinely felt epic.

Naval combat is another highlight. Sailing across those sunlit Greek waters, upgrading your ship, and commanding your crew felt incredible. And yes, microtransactions exist and can be annoying, but Odyssey still provides plenty of cool armor, weapons, and cosmetics through exploration and quests.

At the end of the day, you can still play the game however you want—be a true Assassin in the shadows, a fearless Spartan charging into battle, or just vibe on your ship with your crew. Assassin's Creed Odyssey might not be perfect, but it’s an ambitious journey through ancient Greece, and if you let yourself get lost in it, there’s a lot to love.

So yeah, don’t let the hate stop you—grab your spear, set sail, and lose yourself in one of the most beautiful open worlds Ubisoft has ever created. And hey, let’s hope they’ll learn from Odyssey’s highs and lows to craft an even better adventure next time.

New Review after 1000 hours:
After putting in almost 500 more hours, my experience with Mortal Kombat 1 feels way different compared to the 700 hours I already had. Yeah, I was ranting about WB being greedy (and they still are, let’s be real), but at the end of the day, if you genuinely love Mortal Kombat and want to support NetherRealm, you probably won’t regret dropping some cash on the game.

And look—if you’re an MK fan but can’t afford the extra content, it sucks, I get it. But games like this need funding to keep going. No money, no dev team. That’s just facts. We’ve already seen what happened with Midway back in the day. We don’t want a repeat of that.

That said, MK1 doesn’t have nearly as many cosmetics or customization options as MK11, so if that’s what you’re into, just know what you’re signing up for.

Now, when it comes to story mode... yeah, it’s basically just there. You play it once, maybe twice for the rewards, but it’s nothing to write home about. Especially Khaos Reigns—that one felt super mid. More like filler content than something meaningful. Don’t expect deep lore or mind-blowing plot twists. It’s mainly there to pad things out and hand you a few unlocks.

Gameplay-wise though? MK1 is on a whole different level. It’s way more technical and way harder to pick up, especially with the new Kameo system. This ain’t a button-mash type of game—you really gotta grind, learn, get your hands dirty in ranked matches, and put in serious time to actually get good.

But that’s also what makes it so fire. The Kameo system brings in a whole new meta, and even now, players are still out here discovering new combos and tech. It gives you room to be creative in a way MK11 didn’t, where the Krushing Blow system felt kinda busted and limiting.

Bottom line, MK1’s not easy, but if you put in the work, it’s 100% worth it. It’s challenging, rewarding, and still evolving. Definitely not for casuals, but if you’re serious about MK, this game hits different.

Old Review after 700 hours:
What is going on with WB? It appears their primary focus is on profit rather than delivering quality content. The game's content is minimal, and the microtransactions are excessively expensive, making it feel like they're prioritizing financial gain over the player's experience. Furthermore, the gacha pool is very limited. After opening it ten times in a season, players are forced to wait until the next season for more rewards, which feels restrictive and frustrating.

Comparatively, their older game, Mortal Kombat 11, offered a wealth of content that was almost overwhelming. The character customization was far superior, with each character having three gears to change and individual character towers to explore. This level of depth and personalization is sorely missing in Mortal Kombat 1, making it feel like a step backward in terms of player engagement and content richness.

Additionally, the story in Mortal Kombat 1 feels rushed. While it started strong, it quickly accelerates towards the ending, leaving many character struggles unexplained or inadequately addressed. The narrative development seems incomplete, which detracts from the overall experience.

The only redeeming aspect of this game might be the new gameplay mechanics, which do add a fresh dimension. However, if you are looking for a game to immerse yourself in and play extensively to earn unique cosmetics, this new Mortal Kombat is not for you. Save your money and look elsewhere for a more fulfilling gaming experience. Or just comeback to Mortal Kombat 11
