10/10, would bring Democracy again forever!*

This is a brilliant game. That's just it. It evolved from a small, niche gem - Helldivers 1, that I liked very much, into a blasting yet unexpected diamond of Helldivers 2. And it deserved every player that came, and every part of fame it received.
The game is wonderful in a lot of aspects - first, and, I guess, most importantly - it is a very solid session-based semi-horde-shooter, with extra smooth gunfire feeling, heavy artillery support, and a focus on the teamwork. The weapons sound, feel and behave very solid, the big artillery is powerful yet terrifying (especially in a game with friendly fire enabled), and tactical elements are well-designed. It is just mechanically pleasant to play, with a nice variety of enemies, tools to dispose them, objectives and a very solid progression system to unlock all of these - with rewarding, yet not extra grindy battlepasses, that continue to be after the next release, and are earnable with in-game currency.
Then comes the atmosphere. HD2, as well as HD1, rocks the atmosphere of a "managed democracy" human state, that reigns over the galaxy (any objections are to be reported and "reeducated"). Artwork, voicelines and descriptions all over the place really support this feeling, immersing you as a citizen of Super Earth!
And all this brings a community. The game is focused around coordinating all players' efforts on a global galactic map, and, with the addition of game atmosphere, it indeed feels like every player is a trooper in a giant regiment, that is bonded to deliver Democracy to every part of the galaxy. Focused, united and supportive, this community is one of the best I've ever seen in gaming.
Finally, I must generally commend the developer practices. In a world of unfinished mess of AAA games with predatory marketing, HD2 releases at a solid price as a working (well, after a server hotfix because estimated playercount exceeded expectations tenfold), full game with polished core, very healthy progression that does not encourage to live in the game 24/7, no pay-to-win or predatory marketing schemes, with monetization being extremely cheap battlepass system that is earnable without real money investment. Content is being constantly added to the game, bugs are being fixed, and game is being fully supported. Moreover, I must commend that developers are in contact with the players, and listen to feedback carefully and do what they can to improve! And, in addition to this, the global storyline is controlled by a Game master, akin to such in tRPGs, who brings a wonderful plot and atmosphere, which serves as a solid foundation and target for the community.
Overall, this is, so far, the biggest release of 2024 for me, that, for a small studio of Arrowhead, puts AAA companies to shame with its quality and practices. 10/10, bring some friends here and go deliver the enemies of humanity a warm welcome of Democracy! For Super Earth, Helldivers!
