Having been a long term player, I mean I have played the series when it was CM 93/94 on the Amiga I find Fm2019 my go to game to whittle a way a few hours.

Sure there is nothing amazing visually, but everything is neat and well presented.

I must say I preferred the layout from FM18 visually as it was just well neater and you could get more on the screen.
But still it's fine.

As you would expect all the latest players are in the game, all the transfers, all the new young stars, all the old pro's.

The game plays out as you would expect without to many surprises.

As with all updates it took me a while to find the things I had got used to, I like to tinker with other teams and I find the staff screens a little more confusing (In the sense whilst it is easy to drill down and search for players with current and potential ability I can't seem to find where that has gone in the Staff side especially for managers?
Oh well no biggie.

For me about this series it is about not breaking what works, the rest is fluff, I can't spare the time to manage all the training sessions, scouts and other things, I just want to tweak my team, find the odd player and pick a team and play a match using generic tactics with the odd tweak and whilst there is a lot in there that if you havent played the series for a long time will overwhelm you, you can pretty much get your staff to do all the bits you are not interested in and that eat in to precious game time!

So for me, the layout is a little more compressed than previous versions, FM18 had the balance right however the game seems to run a lot better than Fm17 (especially in game) so if you skipped a few updates this is worth picking up just for that.

Don't be put off by training, news and media, duties, tactics etc etc, you can set your staff to deal with 90% of it and just casually pick it up and play, you just need to tweak the settings a little and bang you are away!

Typically when something is free you are expecting either one of the following ... Poorly made or designed, poor story, poor visuals, hidden features that require payment or just general tosh.

Everlasting Summer is none of the above, in fact if this was on sale for £10 it would be hugely worth it, this has more going for it than a lot of commercial games of this genre.

The graphics are fantastic, the artwork is well done and of a high standard, the story is entertaining and you do not feel it drags on anywhere.... and the number of multiple endings I never once got bored playing through it trying to achieve most.

Even the "spoiler alert" horror unlock spins a new twist on what is going on, won't say anymore on that.

If you had to pay for this I would recommend it, but it's free so you really have no excuse, download and enjoy, if memory serves me you need a patch to enjoy it "fully" but what's to argue about, it's free, get it.

By the way... where do I get me a deck of them playing cards?!?!

Ok so the game is fun, novel and is a serious challenge.
The pixel artwork is great and you feel like playing more to just find out what other mature shall we say ways you can die.

I would recommend this game but they do need to sort out the interface as it is very basic and the game crashes the laptop every time I finish playing (or try to tab out/switch screens).

If they could sort the bugs this would be a real serious game.

As a player of mostly FPS and casual gaming I have touched a bit of water with RPG's recently and to be honest this is one of the best I have played to date.

Yes it is intended for an adult market but the graphics are very nicely done and there is plenty of actual game in there to make you think and work things out.

My only grumble is I do sometimes lose my track and could do with a mission screen or some form of map so I dont just endlessly wander around trying to remember what I am meant to be doing or where I am going.
Yes there is a backlog which you can re-read for clues but a mission screen would be a nice thing to add for casual players :)

As someone who is quite new to games of this type I was very surprised and have enjoyed playing through this.
I can't help but think there was scope to fit more in and and expand the replay value by increasing the actions and options a bit but on the whole I really enjoyed this and was worth the purchase.

Hopefully the developers add some additional content or make another like this and increase the number of NPC's, wardrobe options, jobs, tasks etc.

Having not played the 1st game I can't really compare but I enjoyed this enough to also buy the 1st game.
The first thing that sprung to mind when I played this was how much it reminded me of Zombie Revenge from the arcades/dreamcast which is no bad thing.

Ok the hand on hand combat and moves are a little slicker and more accessible in ZR but this is quite a neat niche and I have oftened wanted a game like ZR with a story.

That said this is not ZR and there is a lot more to it, I have not played enough yet to give a fully honest opinion but my first experience has been good, the biggest negative is that the game just expects you to know what you are doing, I'm not a dumb gamer but a few times I've been wandering around going backwards and forwards trying to work out what the game wants me to do (before running out of energy), not talking when you are in missions i've not struggled with taht but the in between bits, like how do you fast transport to areas? I bring them up but can't figure out what to press to access them (if that is even how it works!) or there was a mission he told me to go to the forest and find some guy to help me with a few missions, but umm where? I just wandered around for ages.

Then there is also no guidance in how you actually setup a camp, he just tells you to build this and put it down, so if you don't know what you doing you end up building your camp in the worst possible place.

So on the upside its fun, the misions are interesting, and the combat works pretty well but the designers need to cater more for people new to the product with more discreptive dialogue or hints and tips.
No one likes an easy game but at the same if you don't give players some level of guidance they will get bored and frustrated real quick just trying to figure out something that is probably really simple before actually playing half of it!

Still would recommend, especially at the current price!

Not really played a huge number of these types of games, I was looking for something like Supremacy which I played years ago and this seems to have fitted into the gap.
I don't like games that are overly complex or difficult to get into and from what I heard prior to getting this seems this fits the bill.

To be honest I found the campaign a little short and was hoping for a number of missions without having to pay for expansion packs (which I tend to get anyway after a lot of play) so that was dissapointing.

Graphically it is ok and works, the difficulty level is ok but could be a little more balanced as it seems to leap as you are learning the game, I was also dissapointed that the tech tree dosnt really help or guide you in anyway, I guess that could be a feature for "casual" players perhaps as I would not say I am a hardcore player of this genre.
That said the tech tree is extensive and there is plenty to research.

If you are a casual or experienced player I would think you would find enough in this to enjoy, a lot of it is fairly obvious and easy to do but there are certain areas that could do with a bit of guidance (such as the trading) that I simply did not find that obvious at first.
Perhaps a little more interactive help would be welcome for future.

Otherwise as a casual player I did find this pretty enjoyable and have managed to whittle away many hours.
