Grim journey somewhere between the worlds.

It's about:
  • anxiety, tension, fear, darkness and macabre atmosphere;
  • jumping and solving puzzles.

Why you should play this:
  • you like horror games (try it even if you don't like horror games);
  • you like platformers and puzzles;
  • thoughtful level-design with hidden areas;
  • small details in level's enviroment, a lot of shades - game doesn't look simplistic due to using only 2 colors;
  • great sound effects;
  • tricky, but simple puzzles.

Why you may not like it
  • it's difficult to make yourself start to play - game looks too melancholy;
  • black-white design sometimes does not allow to define where's active object and where's just a scenery;
  • despite the fact that puzzles are mostly simple you can stick because it's not always clear what the puzzle is - it's like cracking unfinished riddle.

Lack of colours, no dialogs, no intro or outro, no word at all and, yet, such unbeleivable level of expression.

Platformer masterpiece

It's about:
  • piggy Mr. Bree who's escaping from his captives;
  • jumping a lot;
  • collecting special "bad memories" to get access to locked levels for better story understanding;
  • collecting special "good memories" which provide additional skills: jump, crouch, run, double jump.

Why you should play this:
  • you like platformer-games and don't mind to go through some amounts of failed attempts;
  • simple, but nice story and great soundtrack;
  • unlike in many other platformers here you truly develop your character obtaining new skills (RPG-light, hmm... very light) and not just simply running through the same levels;
  • level-design: it truly changes from level to level and it always different (no copy/past parts), adopted for new piggy's skills and looks comprehensive and simple at the same time, some of the levels have secret places;
  • game encourages you to get back to previous levels after you got new skill for collecting "bad memories" - you might find that with new skills previous levels feel and play in other ways;
  • right approach to the difficulty: there's no fights for 'right' microsecond when you need to push the button, here you need to be precise, accurate and fast with controls, but at the same time do everything in cold blood;
  • on some levels things looks impossible to do, but that's wrong impression: after the most suicide and difficult double-jump the more suicide double-triple-wall jump follows and this feels amazing;
  • check-points on most of the levels.


Why you may not like it:
  • it's truly hardcore: you need to be mentally prepared for constant failures - one wrong step and you must start over again (or start from checkpoint);
  • colour of the level's background is changing depending on amount of failures: so, one of them is deeply red and it becomes difficult to differentiate level's enviroment - you might not see properly traps, spikes and etc.;
  • no option to regulate the volume: you can only turn music on or turn it off, the same about sounds - very strange approach in 2015, soundtrack is very nice, but still...;
  • it's not intuitively clear how to fight with the first boss.

Unique platformer game with great amount of fun for a very modest price. The weapon of your choice if you desperately looking for challenge.


P.S. Gamepad is strongly recommended.

Nice and smart iteration of Blocks That Matter (BTM) and Tetrobot & Co. (T&Co) ideas.

It’s about:
  • helping mice get their deserved piece of cheese by setting up blocks of widely-known shapes and using level's enviroment;
  • deliver all mice to extraction point safely for higher score;
  • collecting special crystals to unlock next levels;
  • collecting bombs and exploding some of the blocks to clear the way or "create" a way;
  • avoiding deadly raptoids - mechanized rats who're trying to hunt your mice down;
  • sophisticated ways to execute raptoids: drown them in acid, give an electric shock, explode with special "TNT"-blocks or just drop one of your default blocks on its head;
  • finding out the reason why this scientist-cat invented all that (my personal applause for the ending).

Why you should play this:
  • you played BTM or T&Co., liked it and looking for something very similar;
  • indirect control brings fresh air to the puzzle - you need to predict consequences, not "do then think how to deal with consequences";
  • it certainly develops your imagination;
  • mice facing the obstacle not just stop and stand still - they turn around and moving in opposite direction: sometimes it's the core to beat another level;
  • enviroment and kind of blocks are changing - you unlock new features by completing levels;
  • "Undo" and "Pause" buttons help to keep your hair on.

Why you may not like it:
  • some of the levels look overloaded with blocks and details - they usually can be solved just with enumeration of possibilities;
  • as any puzzle game after some time it can feel boring;
  • 100 levels would be better and look more round number than 80.

15 hours of brainstorm for 10 seconds of laugh in the end. And, that's worth it!

Generaly - it's an amazing game, but developer did everything to poison it by adding "Cave" levels...

It's about:
  • jumping, catching the right rhythm to beat a level;
  • pushing the button in right microsecond on "Cave" levels.

Why you should play this:
  • you like challenging platformer games;
  • nice and attractive style: simplistic, but eye-grabbing;
  • good level-design (except "Cave" levels) - it's different for both main characters: for the cat it's mostly jumping and catching the rhythm, for the girl it's about some kind of floating between "floor" and "ceiling" - like plumet on the wind;
  • cat's "jumping" realisation - brief/light push for short/quick jump, lasting/hard push for long/amplitude jump - lets you manipulate with covered distance and gives you a feeling that you truly control as light on foot, flexible and elastic animal as cat.

Why you may not like it:
  • "Cave" levels - it's the real curse for this game: it's not even a gaming/playing/face a challenge at all, it's some kind of reaction training: you have to push the button in right microsecond;
  • absence of check points: for the most of levels it's ok - they can be beat after few tries, but its absence on "Cave" levels devours you with a wave of frustration: you probably will go through dozens desperate attempts to find that right microsecond when you need to push the button.

Nice, but controversial gaming experience: it's true representer of platformer genre, but you have to be ready for truly suffering on "Cave" levels - otherwise, it's a wall-thrown keyboard/gamepad and strong words to developers and their relatives.
