The only FPS that defines team based strategic play in the FPS genre. - THE eSports FPS title to be a part of.

(Duels i'd say Quake 3 / Live of course but..) Been around since 99' I started late 1.4 and played thousands upon thousands of hours of 1.5-1.6 for years - I did not dig source so I lost interest in CS as a franchise but had fond memories. - I got into the testing closed alpha of CS GO and immediately felt something fresh, new and different than what I'd expected - and it felt more like 1.6 than Source.

Now flash forward to the modern day July 2014 updated version of it after 2 years and ... It's become the absolute best Counter-Strike game - tops any versions (1.3/1.4/1.5 being favorites amongst the oldschoolers; I do miss Mansion / 747 / the VIP mode which should COME BACK) - I feel tops 1.6; and for modern times is a must; as 1.6 makes my eyes bleed in a way that no other older title does. - it literally makes me dizzy =/ Even HL1 does not which is what is very odd about that :P Quake 1's gorgeous world years prior is still stunning to me -shrugs-
as for source; elements of what made Source fans uhh... Enjoy ... Source are .. here as well mixed in perfectly with all the A+ 1.6 elements; along with the new ideas that REALLY make the game shine.

Also the communities skins, and maps have my wallet thin.
