Fun, cute, short and to the point. Good time all around, really enjoyed the time trials. Love the 2D in a 3D world thing.

Good enough. Control really made this one obsolete from a game mechanics point of view.
The story is, again, good enough. Kinda wraps up right as it's beginning to get really interesting.
Final boss fight almost ruined the game for me, really stupid difficulty spike right at the end.
Looks pretty sick though

I bounced off of this game pretty hard.

The combat and platforming are most of the way to being great, couple of sticking points though. The decision to only give you the slow mo while you're in the air is baffling. Like I can see no in universe reason for it and it just seems to mess me up in actual play. I'll jump to use it, but I'm too close to a wall and now I'm wall running instead and die somehow. Or how about the opposite, I slow mo to get out of the way of something and suddenly wall running to who knows where. Its all a bit fiddly.

Graphically the game is pretty rad, but I think it could use some variety visually within sections. After running literal circles around a room to take care of enemies, I have no idea where I came from or where I'm going in these levels and everything looking the same doesn't help. Also I really felt like the HUD marker telling you where to go really comes and goes whenever it wants. Not sure why.

The mindscape puzzles were just so whatever. Uninspired nothingness. I understand that the game needs a break in the action and I agree with you, don't make me do mindless work. If I have to play a puzzle game in my ninja platformer, could you have an original take on a style of puzzle. Something not the absolute baseline. Something that fits the rest of the game, not "Turn these dials until you earn the exposition that allows you to go back to the ninja stuff."

I think that's most of it. There's some good stuff here, especially in the Mirror's Edge vein of things. Sadly the whole thing is really just 3/4 baked.

I'm really digging this game so far.
I've been learning the colemak-DHm layout on my new Dactyl Manuform 5x6 (look it up, it's crazy) and have totally burnt myself out on Monkeytype, so I've been going through some alternative ways to practice. _keyboardkommander has a few unique mechanics that make it an interesting approach to learning and sharpening ones typing skills.
The biggest one is how it queues up words to maintain flow whilst typing. While targeting an enemy the word you're typing will be displayed and the next word will be beneath it. This allows you to maintain a constant flow, but it is limited to only a single word so you still have to be engaged with whats occuring on screen. This leads to some interesting bits where a series of shorter common words will make the reticle dart around the screen and you have to keep up. Makes the easier bits more interesting and you have to work harder to maintain flow.
Also, using numbers and punctuation for pickups works really well and is a really natural way to force your brain to quickly shift gears.
Lastly, since you switch targets by pressing random letters above their heads, sometimes you will switch targets on a mistyped word. At first this seems a little aggravating, but I really find it to be natural and logical punishment for inaccuracy.

As for the cons?
Sometimes the HUD elements can really get in the way of the words you're trying to type.
The difference between zombie types is not readable to me at all, at no point did I switch targets to a particular zombie who had just spawned because it's a tough one or something like that.
I might have broken the balancing by just upgrading the rifle, i never needed to worry about the other weapons. It also could be that I needed to up the difficulty.
All of this is perfectly acceptable for a free early access game, though I do hope it does get addressed.

Really looking forward to seeing what further development does for this game.

EDIT: Also, I think every typing game should have a menu system that is completely navigable without taking your hands off the keyboard

Five dollars is a crazy steal for a game of this production value.
The videos do not do it justice.

This is just a delightful take on the narrative focused adventure game.
What really gets me is the structure of it. The scenes that you play through act as vignettes in a single journey, but as you pile up attempts (successful or not) a wider story develops.
Now I have not completed the game at this point, but I would say that it is totally worth the $20 for my six hours so far (Actually I payed for the soundtrack and prologue book. The soundtrack is a hell of a vibe, haven't looked at the book yet).

That said, a couple cons are here.
I get the approach they were trying to take with the writing and voice acting, but some characters just ventured a little too far into the absurdly cartoony for my tastes.
The low poly style works for the main characters, but some of the no name NPCs look out of place next to them. Like from another game with a similar poly count.
Lastly, I ran into some spots in the game that had some really random stuttering issues (The Gas station, worked fine in the demo, had to turn my graphics settings down to get through it in the final release), I assume these will be fixed shortly.

All and all, I'm super down for this game.
