This game is absolutely unhinged and also a pretty good Sonic game. Note that despite being a visual novel, there are many twitch-based sections.

Phenomenal. Breathtaking. Go in unspoiled if you can. The entire game takes about three hours and they're three of the best hours in all of video gaming. I don't want to write any more to avoid spoilers, but this game is fantastic and worth every cent.

This is not a long game, but I certainly feel like I got my money's worth anyway. Tons of fun, and an engaging enough story.

"You've played for 400 hours. Would you recommend this game to other players?"

Lord... maybe?

The plot of Xenoverse 1 is better... but you can get a DLC that lets you play through XV1's plot. The gameplay loop is pretty repetitive... but it's a really good simulation of Dragonball Z/Super's content. The dialogue is poorly translated from the Japanese, with frequent text/audio mismatches... but it's voiced by pretty much all of the original actors. The graphics are pretty dated... but they look very much like the original shows. Character customization is pretty limited, appearance-wise... but you can give them pretty much any move anyone used at any point in Z, Super, or the movies. The matchmaking sucks and you need to find online communities to play with people... but those communities do exist and the members are generally helpful.

I really wish there was a "mixed" option for reviews. But, well, I'm still playing it, I guess? So there you go.

If you're a Monkey Island fan, get this. Almost all of this game is a nostalgic romp through past locations combined with a beautiful new score, engaging new characters, and a really well-done point-and-click engine.

The ending is... something. I think it's really good and masterful, but it took me a day to decide that.

If you're not a Monkey Island fan yet, start with The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition and go from there.

If you don't like Monkey Island, you have neither soul nor joy and I cannot help you.

First of all: get a gamepad. Logitech has a good one for $15 that I highly recommend.

This is not a perfect simulation of flying a fighter. (Try Star Wars Squadrons for that.) This is a simulator of what it's like to be in one of the big fighter furballs in a Star Wars movie. The controls are for the most part intuitive, and everything sounds right. The sound design, barring the music, has aged well due to clever use of radio filters. It does a great job of letting you fulfill your fantasy of being an X-wing pilot.

Just be prepared to fail. A lot. These missions are hard.

Let's be clear about something: I do not have 5.8 hours of time on this game. I have hundreds.

I don't even remember what occasion caused me to be given this game on PC. I was a kid. Episode I had just come out, I think. All I remember is falling instantly in love. So when I saw this was on Steam, it was an instant buy.

Let's be clear: the graphics were nothing good even during its original release. The audio definitely sounds low-quality on a modern system. You can beat the entire game, unlock all content, and max out your stats permanently in 3.75 hours. There are some bugs.

But the gameplay loop is so incredibly good that you won't care. And even though the graphics are ancient and the sounds themselves a tad grainy, the sound design is more than immersive enough to make up for it.

So jump in. Grab a pod. And feel the wind blow by.

This is the coziest RPG you'll ever play. This is the game you wish every D&D campaign was.

And before you think it's too easy because of the cute graphics, I have 100% achievements on XCOM 2 and nearly got my butt kicked on the standard difficulty.

Amazingly addictive, very relaxing, and tons of fun. I bought this game for $0.50 because there was a bug with Steam and I wanted to see if I could still buy things. I wound up enjoying it more than several big-name big-game purchases on my account. Very much recommended.
