Shorter than I expected. Didn't show off nearly as much tech as expected either. The achievements were a nice addition to give some extra play time.

There's a number of minor bugs though, such as the snow deformation not working for many and various part of the Options menu not working, such as clearing keybinds, and save reloads resulting in softlocks, such as the ladder no longer working.

Worth a quick playthrough at least, especially to play with the headcrabs. Try having one land on a saw blade you're carrying ;)

Honestly, the only glitch I wish they'd fix is the infinite Likes one. Or at least have a way to toggle off the sound for it. Otherwise, was a nice waste of time. Worth the achievement hunt too.

Feels very much like a work in progress. Guns aren't satisfying to use and movement is both sluggish and wonky.

Was definitely expecting to have to quit from motion sickness as I don't have that strong of VR legs yet, but ended up rage quitting first instead. It feel like I'm playing an alpha/inferior version rather than the released game when I look at game play videos. It's not smooth; my arm motions and hand actions feel delayed and slow, like I'm underwater. My hands snap to the wrong parts of things a lot. When I'm trying to climb and finally feel in a rhythm my hands suddenly won't grip the next part and I'll fall. My grip also tends to get let go when I look away from what I'm climbing up, as if the physics are being culled away rather than just the graphics. Once I cool off a bit I'll try again and see if maybe my GFX card just isn't good enough or something then update this review...

Played on hard and tried to use my HL2DM skills, got stuck in the warehouse unsure how to kill all the Striders the first play through. Quick tips: Crouch bhop is prevented and makes noise, standing bhop works ok though. The first few turrets get set on fire if you try to take them with you, they work fine after getting the shotgun, so bring one along! Jumping on top of stuff like barrels and such when you're not suppose to breaks them AKA they just disappear or explode depending on the barrel. I'm impressed by the game so far overall, it seems to match the vision GabeN has said he wants HL3 to have AKA scarier like HL1, more dynamic concept that changes the game, (which I feel the need to get better at, sticking to guns doesn't cut it, props to devs here!) and is targeted at old school gamers. A handful of bugs need to be ironed out still, like some crashs, graph node rebuilds, FPS, and loading zone placement, but I recommend playing it NOW!
