Here's the thing. Half Life 2 is still a good looking game that doesn't need this. BUT. It is a nice addition to play the game again.

As of right now this demo only includes Ravenholm and Nova Prospekt.

I am currently running a 3060 which requires me to put DLSS to Ultra Performance and the game runs decently well compared to others with way better GPUs than me. The game did struggle to boot, but once that went by the game ran fine for what it is. A fully transversed remaster of Half Life 2 with path tracing that is far more heavy than regular ray tracing.

My only issue is the amount of particles show up on screen because of the DLSS or at least I think that's the reason. Stalker 2 doesn't have any of it and I run it with Quality DLSS.

I do play in 1080p which is what a 3060 is designed for. If you're running a 4090, 5090, 4080, 5080 and it runs horribly, you got a lot of tweaking to do on your end.

This is just a demo and not the full product of Half Life 2 RTX. So improvements will be made or at least that's what's supposed to be the case. People being disappointed with getting 40-60 fps on a 4060 for example, just know this is using Path Tracing, which is an even more gpu intensive version of Ray Tracing. I knew this was going to happen when I saw full ray tracing. So people who are surprised to the game running badly on their PC, that's on kinda you.

Nvidia can make good GPUs but unfortunately, they want to invest in Ai which is unfortunate instead of raw power but that's the future and there's nothing you can do to avoid it. Hate DLSS and Frame Gen or love it. It's the future and it's here to stay until AMD or Intel can release GPUs that are affordable and knock the socks off of Nvidia GPUs.

Other than that, it's a great start and it'll improve over time.

Ladies and Gentlemen. Welcome to Karagon 4.0, you can just look in the files and the .exe is called Karagon. This "indie developer" claims people like me are the reason indie games are dying, when in fact he's the reason indie games are dying. Just flooding Steam with asset flips to make a quick buck....er I mean not this "developer" he doesn't need your pathetic amount of money since he's now rich with crypto. Probably all thanks to Trump as well.

Now yes, I did only play this game for 1 minute. Steam says 0.1 hrs, but that's being generous. In reality, I only need 1 minute to realize that this is just Karagon, er I mean Grand Emprise, er I mean World Crafter TD. er I mean Star Crafter. The exact same assets, exact same layout, exact same slop.

Now, you're probably wondering why I decided to spend $30 of my cold hard cash and give it to some ♥♥♥♥ like this "developer". Well it's because I wanted to go out of my way and give this game a negative review because why not. It's an asset flip, it doesn't deserve a single ounce of praise. Now im not saying indie developers unlike this guy is allowed to use assets from the marketplace to make their game. You can but to use the exact same ones for the fifth game in a year in a row? Really shows the kind of circus this "developer" is living in.

Now, I know this guy is gonna leave a comment and be all aggresive and say some mean ♥♥♥♥. Oh shimber me timbers. But truth be told, no one loves you, it's a fact. And for the people who fallen for this crap and will "harass" me. Save your soul not for me, or if you even got one that is. I know the "developer" doesn't.

Well anyway, enjoy your slop, enjoy your depressing life. There's lots of evidence of each game being abandoned for two reasons.

1. Game is 100% complete (Which it really isn't)
2. No one wants to play this game anymore because it's crap.

Edit: After actually playing it and getting all the achievements, I can safely say that yes, Project Borealis is gonna be f**cking amazing. It also feels just like playing Half Life 2 but with modern graphics. Performance could be better but hey still can't complain

There's really nothing wrong with this game in terms of bugs and glitches, it's just a simple game where you just upgrade quests, destroy stronger targets, and overall become stronger. For being a free game, one could say why not try it out, it's free. If you don't like idle/clicker games, then you might not like it but it's really an alright game for being free even if it's straight to the point and very basic. Should definitely check it out.

Let's just send range, melee and the ability to mutate all after you, oh and let's give a sneak system that doesn't even work half the time, let alone a proper dodge system that actually allows you to dodge then hit but let's dodge then hit and get hit as well. Let's also give you a 6 item limit but shower you with a whole bunch of ♥♥♥♥ that you'll have to leave behind. As much as this game tries to be "Dead Space". Even the original Dead Space had a bloody vault to store your extra resources. And don't even get me started on the save system, allows you to manually save but not at the exact same time.

It has offline mode. Instantly 10x better than Diablo 3 and 4. This game should be overwhelmingly positive just because of that.

Thought it was mid at first, and now it's better than Ark

It's Rune Factory 3 but with graphics that's been greatly improved and honestly it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good looking especially the new combat graphics. Who can say no to such a master piece of a series that works surprisingly well on PC even if you're playing on keyboard and mouse. Now let's hope the do the same with Rune Factory 1 and 2 and hopefully just hopefully also port the originals and not just remasters to steam if they so do find it to be worth it to remaster the first two in the series.
