This game is super fun. The level editor is very powerful and has been used to create thousands of levels, ranging in difficulty from "beat the level by not doing anything at all" to "here are several minutes of frame perfect timings". Beating difficult levels is very satisfying, and if you don't like a level, there are many others to play.

Once upon a time, 5 year old me was browsing Cool Math Games looking for something to play, when I came across something that looked interesting: a game called Bloons Tower Defense. I was about to play it, when I noticed that there were also Bloons Tower Defense 2 and Bloons Tower Defense 3. I clicked on Bloons TD 3, and played it for a bit. Despite not even being able to beat easy mode, I loved it, and I was soon playing it every chance I got. When Bloons TD 4 was released, I started playing it, and I loved it. When Bloons TD 5 was released, I loved it more. It had strategic depth that I had never previously thought possible. Soon afterwards, I discovered Bloons TD Battles and Bloons Monkey City, and I played those too.
Eventually, however, I started playing other games, such as Minecraft and Terraria, and I kind of left the Bloons series behind me (especially since I played those games on mobile, and I was becoming more of a Steam user). However, I found this game, and it is awesome! In the previous bloons games, pretty much all you had to do to win was make sure you can pop camo lead bloons and beat round 63. In this game, however, there are many towers with different specialties, making many unique strategies possible. In addition, there are a very wide level of difficulties, ranging from super long winding tracks with weak, slow bloons to multiple straight lanes with 100 rounds of pain- and even then, there are many possible solutions. Simply choosing a track + difficulty isn't all there is, though. There are also heroes, which have many unique benefits, races, which are basically speedruns, multiplayer, custom challenges, and many more options.

This game is awesome. I highly recommend it to everyone.

The towers in this game are strangely incompetent. The cheapest type perishes in one hit and barely does any damage. Only the ranged towers actually do enough damage to make a difference, and they are quite expensive. In addition, the towers can only attack in one direction, meaning if an enemy happens to spawn in front of a gap, then you are guaranteed to lose crowns. Also, the currency (blood) must be manually collected by clicking on it, and if you aren't fast enough it will disappear. Once a tower dies, you can not place a new tower where the old one once stood. Also, the "music" is repetitive and annoying.

This is the only game that has made me cry. You can be good and save everyone, or you can be a serial killer that the monsters desperately try to stop. It is very philosophical, and it made me think differently about the other games I play. It has the hardest boss I have ever fought. It took me 58 attempts to defeat. In most games, I kill enemies without thinking about it, just because that's what I'm supposed to do. This game makes me sympathize with the rocks, and it exposes mob farming for what it is: killing off an entire species just to satisfy your lust for power. It also has an amazing soundtrack.
