As someone who came in after the NEXT update and then back in after this more recent let me just say this game is amazing. It is absolutely beautiful and a near perfect space exploration sim at this point. It is not without flaws, monotony or grind. It is not technically perfect. But the idea and the execution are so amazing with this game. It really feels like they've finally achieved their vision or very near.

After 60 or so hours of exploring, pushing forward and system hopping I found a nice distant system that was home to Korvax and fairly hospitable now named "Home System". I have spent the last 77 or so hours building, gathering resources for and/or doing missions for my people to get this base and farm up and running.

Finally after 77 hours I've got all the vendors, a nice home building and a 3 story farm all built with glass walls and roofs.

The first floor is all frost crystal and some Gamma stuff. Off the first floor I make 1 Million units / pull between glass and living glass.

Currently farming Uranium on a crappy planet in a green system to get more gamma plants. Made 5 mil units off some storm crystals I didn't even know existed. Just got back to "New Earth" and am working on the farm. It is nearly complete now however. So I will finish up and now that I have a vast 4-5 page long teleport system log I can just move on and keep doing more along the way and just check in and do pulls from time to time.

I've explored, I've settled, I've 'survived' just barely in many cases. Especially in the early game. It can be tough to figure out the first hour or two the best way to do things.

Ultimately there are many ways to play and many different avenues to find rewarding. Amazing game.
