It's definitely a good game, I'll give it that. It's just that I can't get into it as much as Blazblue or UNI. I have played other Guilty Gear games albeit not all on Steam, but those were pretty fun in their own way. This game does feel like Guilty Gear in some parts and sometimes feels very different, which I know what is going for. The visuals are amazing and the music is sick, but the gameplay, especially the lobbies, and sometimes the UI give me a slight bit of sourness in my mouth. The game does feel okay at best, the UI dosen't really work for me, and the lobbies are straight up awful. The player matches in the Steam version didn't even function until a patch was rolled out. I would recommend it to newer folk, but as a game right now, I wouldn't recommend it at full price. Let's see what the patches would do to it.

After 3 months and patches, it sure has improved especially since the most recent one. Characters feel more fleshed out except for the bottom tiers, and the networking is slightly better than last time. It still has a quite annoyingly long "connecting to server", and after getting used to the gameplay systems, it's not as expressive as other fighting games, but it plays good enough to have fun. Overall, it's still not worth 60$.

The Season 1 Pass has been completed, and these new characters are pretty OD. This game has become much more advanced with many new discoveries that have made a pretty okay game to a very in-depth, and surprisingly fast fighting game. This game has evolved and become a phenomenal game, and I can confidently say that this game has become one of the best new fighting games in the past few years.
