A little disappointed with this game. Was hoping I could use my HOTAS setup. Turns out its a huge disadvantage to use it in any mode except "simulator battles". There doesn't appear to be any active sim battle lobbies though when I check. Maybe Im just not high enough level.

Performance is abysmal on a 5900 and 6800xt. Can't get above 30-40 frames. I know its early access and hopefully this will change in the future. There is no reason to play this over the original in its current state.

Have I had fun with this game? Yes. Do I recommend it? Eeeeeeeh, depends. Ill start by saying that this game has one of the best gameplay loops for a VR title. The highs are high. REALLY high. The feeling of getting shot at while carrying a bunch of loot gets my heart pounding in a way that no other game ever has, and the feeling of victory must be what heroin feels like. The guns and character model feel good to use and interact with, and while the graphics arent anything to write home about the game both looks and runs well as is.

That said. The grind is unreasonable, and if you have a life outside of this game you'll quickly fall behind. Last wipe was the first wipe that I put time and effort into, about 200 hours or so. In that time I didnt manage to get any of my traders to level 5, and that was with exploiting the missions system. Money wasnt really a problem, but leveling traders very much was. While the new mission update is nice it feels like a step back in terms of making meaningful progress towards leveling up. It sucks so bad to level up that you can pay to never start out at level 1 again. By the way, playing with level 1 traders is practically unplayable. But the devs will gladly sell you the ability to never deal with level 1 again. Crappy business practice IMO.

For the price of a real round of mini golf you can have an unlimited pass to like 12 different courses that you can play with friends anywhere in the world. Great way to hang out with friends. A steady stream of DLC has kept the game fresh as well. Lots of fun for the value here, highly recommend.

A very bizarre experience. I wasn't really sure what I was going into prior to firing the game up, and I'm glad I didn't. The physics simulations in the game are quite good. And the game does a great job of making you uneasy. Highly recommend.

This game is so good that it ruins a lot of other VR titles. I've been spoiled by the polish and optimization of this game. Aside from driving in Assetto Corsa, nothing else comes close in terms of immersion. Level design is excellent. My only complaint is the lack of Melee, but I quickly forgot about it when in game.

This game is a work of art. The ginso tree was one of the greatest moments in gaming in terms of teaching a player a mechanic and mastering it over the course of a very well designed level. I prefer this game to its sequel but both are excellent.

The atmosphere created by this game is amazing. It lured me into the depths of Hallownest to discover everything hiding within. If you enjoy platformers this is a must play.

This game is great. But its the modding community that really take this game to a new level. Being able to drive cars that I will likely never be able to sit in in real life is surreal in VR. The models are extremely detailed and with CSP the game can achieve photorealism.
