Surprisingly and oddly addicting, this game somehow found an itch in my brain that needed scratching! Short and simple but oh so satisfying!

What a silly, little experimental game! Short and sweet so as to not overstay it's welcome while having enough content to keep things interest during the game time! Def a good candidate for something short for some quick laughs.

LOVED the original so was overjoyed when a viewer gifted me the sequel and decided to play it soon afterwards! I was surprised to run into reoccurring bugs; some not necessarily game breaking (like text overlaying upon itself making things hard to read) while others most definitely game breaking (finishing a task requested by a faction not getting triggered making me have to reload the most recent save) but my biggest "bummer" about FP2 is it's detachment from the settlers. FP1 all you decisions had more weight because you were close to your settlers; FP2 you are disconnected from them and feels far less personal.

There are 6 or 7 different "resources" you have to manage at all times which feels a bit exorbitant. It feels like this was their way to make the game feel "difficult" but it just makes it feels tedious and more micro-manage-y than anything. It's still a fun game but it doesn't quite have the "bite" that the original had.

It's been years since I played the original so this may have also been the case in FP1 but I don't recall it: the "tutorials" and "how-to's" are in the form of an appendix that you have to read through and you keep getting more and more unlocked as you progress the game. If you're a person like me that does not like to read through paragraphs of text for a tutorial in a game then either buckle-up and read them or ignore them and figure out your way through by pain of trial-and-error😅

Morbid subject matter, obviously, but the atmosphere and gameplay blend well together. The game is simple enough but quickly becomes addicting and for less than $5 it's a great value (more-so if you play multiplayer!) Super creepy and super well done!

I was gifted this game from a viewer and it was a surprising and fun take on the souls-like genre; it showed that a souls-like game doesn't necessarily have to be grim-dark in setting. The platforming can be a little wonky at times with you being able to safely land on a platform 8 times in a row but then the 9th time you go sliding off it like butter on a hot pan and careening into abyss and there are a couple of soft-lock areas that you can get into where your only way out is ctrl-alt-delete yourself and forfeit your souls microplastics (unless you have the item to keep them on death).

The story and writing is both self aware and enjoyable and full of puns and play-on-words that I thoroughly enjoyed.

This is def a worthwhile play if you like the souls genre and looking for something a little more vibrant and/or lighthearted.

Holy crap this game FAR exceeded my expectations and was an absolute trip! What started off as a "simple" deckbuilder card game exploded out to be much more! I cannot get into much without getting into spoiler territory but I can say this is easily worth the asking price of $20 and if you get it on sale it's a steal; I cannot recommend this game enough!

If Elden Ring were a game with a movie wrapped around it then Shadow of the Erdtree is a movie with a game wrapped around it; it's absolutely breathtaking! The environments are definitely more varied and jaw-dropping and that's saying something because the base game is stunning!

The DLC expands a bit on the lore of the base game and includes a new feature that you need to find and gather (similar to the Golden Seeds in the base game) that makes you stronger in the new area. These are a necessity if you're wanting a normal run through the game otherwise you'll get trounced not too far in XD

Def a recommend from me but the last boss (up until the patch that came out 7 days ago as of writing this review) can absolutely kick rocks, lmao!

I'm actually in awe that this game is free; it's freaking beautiful! Sure, the mechanics are fairly simple but everything is so incredibly polished I cannot believe it's not $2, _at least_.

Short and sweet, with fun abilities that doesn't overstay its welcome; 10/10 worth the play!
