This game got me back into runescape.

lvl 1-50 is a very short, boring journey with uninteresting characters aside from a bard you run into later in the story. The game focuses more on late game pvpve, and while the world bosses are fun, movement and combat both feel extremely clunky.

The p2w is pretty bad, shoving a battlepass and leveling pass down players throats which is nearly required to be competitive in end game pvp. I also dislike the auction house system which allows players to buy items using a currency that is a MTX, but also allows players to sell earnable in-game rewards for the same currency. I feel like being able to swipe your card and have an advantage takes the rewarding feeling of getting better gear away from everyone. It creates an environment where players who buy their gear are only satisfied by winning in pvp, and players who grind it out feel like they wasted hours of grinding a boss that they could've just skipped if they had a few extra bucks to spend just to be competitive.

Another Odd system they have in place limits the amount of dungeons you can do per-day. I don't find myself being affected by it all that much as someone who doesn't run dungeons a lot, however a LARGE part of getting better gear is through dungeon rewards. Having a limit on how much content a player is allowed to experience in a day is insulting. servers shutting down for 7+ hours unannounced multiple times a week is insulting. telling me to pay my way through pvp is insulting. giving me a half baked combat system is insulting. this game is waste of time. Im gonna go play osrs
