While the current version of Crusader Kings III is arguably not as good as CK2 I still think it's a very good game in it's own right, and far more accessible to newcomers.

My gripes are things like Republics, disease outbreaks on the map, Regencies, council vote, combat and siege events, etc. are missing which were mechanics in CKII. CKII also had more differentiation in government types like Vikings played differently compared to other Tribals or Steppe Nomads, etc.

Also, this one is a nitpick but I miss the death sound effects from CKII. I know, I'm pretty twisted but I thought those were pretty funny at times (I.E. mass-executing a bunch of characters and hearing like 20 different screams of agony all at once) and made murdering a rival so much more satisfying while in CKIII executing everyone in your dungeon feels very clinical.

I do think over time, as CK3 gets more updates and expansions it'll turn out on par with CKII if not better.
