I am frustrated by every design decision however the story is too good to pass up so here we are from day 1 to purgatory

--I originally removed the first part of this review as I saw it was unneeded, however, an immense amount of people have reacted to this review now, so I feel the need to add it back.

I believe that Project Moon, as always, is phenomenal in presentation, direction, storytelling and all other aspects. However, they are not good at designing games. Lobcorp is tedious, Ruina is painfully difficult at times, and Limbus is both of those and a gacha. Even as someone who has all the IDs currently available and is extremely invested in the game, nothing can clean the wound for me of having to farm lux, save resources and need to treat the game as a part time job. It infuriates me to no end, and it disappoints me. The gameplay is frustrating, doesn't innovate and backtracks from what Ruina achieved. I'm only here for the story.

Bro, you're wack. You say the only reason you're still playing is for brand loyalty, but you're also directly expressing your interest in the narrative, and complaining about how you want to continue playing it. It ain't rocket science to figure out what your problem is bro.

Furthermore, no one is forcing you to do the dailies bro, that's all you. You ever played a Gacha Game before? Dailies are half the gameplay and if you don't want to do them, just get to a suitable level and stop until the next update.

And beyond that, you really bringing up Twitter Drama in a Steam Game Review? Like, actually? I got one suggestion for you bro, get off twitter.

This is the problem with making a review 100+ Hours in to a game, you come out in the end game and complain about your current troubles, rather than the 90% of Gameplay that came before that. Get a new perspective bro, you're obviously seeing red.

Haven't started playing limbus company yet as I still need to torture myself through the rest of Ruina and Lobotomy, but it echoes my exact thoughts. So many amazing ideas, but poor execution.

I think this review really tackles the most notable downsides that comes with a lot of gacha games nowadays: The constant power-creep with every new introduction and how these types of games just force you to keep playing, which Limbus is not exempt from. Great review .

My frustrations with the current state of the game and the way it would currently affect a new player attempting to get into it are very validated, but I respect your perspective on me having too much bias based on recent events. Fair take to have.
