If you want to comment on my profile, please do not bother. I will keep my profile clear. I am strictly against cheats, trashtalk etc. Hunt is a great game, one time you are on top, the orther it is someone else, no need for cheats :hunter0:

So after the second playthrough and getting all the achievements I sincerely feel that I owe this game and the developers a review.

This game is a gem and if you like RPG games then this is a must play. DO NOT LINGER! PLAY IT!

I am going to try to be objective in the first part of the review and then continue to express my feelings later.

You can picture Enderal as Skyrim (which it is obviously build on) with some additional game content (like objects, enemy types) and you have a pretty good idea about how the game looks like. It is non-arguably better looking than vanilla Skyrim, some sights can make you stop and just enjoy them, but the difference is not that big. That is what I have to say regarding graphics.

That is coming with bugs and stability issues. Enderal can sometimes be somehow buggy but I never experienced some game-breaking bugs, only immersion breaking bugs. FPS are stable and runs smoothly, problem is that from time to time the game decides to crash with no apparent reason but I guess the devs were aware of this issue and that is why everytime you leave or enter a location you get a save and the game saves every few minutes by itself, so the occasional crash never does too many damage.

Enderal's difficulty is hard. It is normal that you get trashed early and mid-game so be aware of that. Enderal also presented more combat changes, yes it still feels like good old Skyrim but is expanded upon mostly by adding new types of magic and the trial balancing the broken Skyrim stealth system. Also healing is nerfed by "Arcane fever" which is increased by healing potions and spells so you mainly use food that regenerates your health out of combat.

As for character progression this is the part where the two games are different by a great margin. In Enderal you gain EXP by killing enemies, discovering locations, completing quests and there are some other ways. If you earn enought EXP you gain a level that allows you to boost one of your stats (Health, Stamina, Mana) and give you one Memory point (Skill point) and several Learning points and Crafting points. Memory points can be spent freely and skill you want to increase but Crafting and Learning points are used to boost your stats by reading a specialised books that you have to find or buy so your progression is more limited than in Skyrim which makes it more balanced.

STORY IS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST PART OF THE GAME AND WILL SHOW YOU HOW MUCH SKYRIM'S STORYTELLING SUCKS! (And yes I am still being objective :D )

So, for my subjective opinions:

Positive:
Harder, more balanced difficulty
STORY TELLING
ABSOLUTELY AWESOME MUSIC
Believeable characters
Better character progression
Everything feels whole and makes sence
Companions are great, I love both of them

Negative:
The journey at the start of the game may feel discouragingly long
Occasional bugs
Crashes
Minor plot holes that I discovered during my second playthrough

And that is probably it. Seriously give this game a shot and you won't regret it. Totally worth all the time I gave it. The ending sequence always gives me goosebumps, I would love to get my memory erased so I could be as surprised at the end as I was during my first playthrough.
