There's two things to take into consideration here.
1) The game itself, which originally came out for the PlayStation 3, and had several remasters for the PS4 and PS5.
2) The PC remaster itself, which is what most people have complained about.

As for the game itself, it's a narrative masterpiece (despite way too much pointless swearing), worth playing until the end, with the Left Behind DLC also worth playing until the end. People who like the genre will very likely love TLoU1.
Having said that, there are some flaws in this game, like you can't use your weapon at short range because of how long it takes to turn your character while aiming, and turning without aiming can even waste more time, so it can be a lost cause, and you will die because of these dumb design flaws. We're allowed for a super fast melee attack, and that's it, everything else you need to obey the game's quirks, and die because of them, and try again in a different way.
As for the quality of the Remaster, I'm playing on a really high end machine (7950X3D, 7900 XT, 64 GB of 6000@CL30 DDR5 RAM) so I played at 3440x1440 21:9 in Ultra without issues. There was still an area deep into the game that I noticed was just 60 FPS average (I forgot where, sorry), but for most of the game I was on 90 FPS I think. So you need to check other people's experience who have a gaming machine close to yours.
All in all, a great game in glorious Ultrawide and great graphics.
