If you are a fan of Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin, or Red Hood and have wanted a game with them in the leading role, please pick this up. Its not perfect, but I am enjoying finally being able to play as Red Hood in a fully featured game. The vast amount of reviewers failed to understand the combat or stealth systems, which are a little different from Arkham and Spiderman.

That said it still feels great and the characters are written well. Having a blast stomping crime as Red Hood like I always wanted.

EDIT TO ADD- I have watched and read some reviews, and I have had some more playtime, so I want to add;

Every review I have watched claims the combat is sluggish and bad, which is indeed, the day 1 low level experience, but the moment you get a couple momentum abilities and learn you're supposed to be throwing out ranged attacks as crowd control, it all comes together.

I also don't agree with a common sentiment that "Gotham is bland in this game"

It really isnt. Its clearly been rebuilt in a few places with Brutalist architecture, the iconic locations still have Batman's classic nuGothic architectural design. The change in theme is due to Gotham being the Knights' city now. It is an artistic choice to show things from a new perspective.

I've also seen people claim the game world is "barren" and this one is the one that gets me the most, this is one of the most reactive game worlds I have messed with, cops show up after crimes, as do ambulances, news vans. The public perception of your character shifts as you rescue more civilians, the criminals are emboldened by Batman's disappearance and inspired by his tech, so they actively create their own gadgets, and more types of criminals and events spring up each night. I don't think I have ever seen a super hero game with this level of enemy variety. Hell even comparing it to my whole library, I think only Destiny 2 is on par with the enemy variety.

People claim the characters aren't true to their comic selves as well, this one is just false, this is the best rendition of these characters I have seen outside of the comics and Under the Red Hood (animated film). Yeah their visual design is a little... Different (looking at you Jason Todd on performance enhancing drugs) but when it comes to their interactions in cutscenes, they express so much of their comic character's subtle behaviors. Like how Jason actually enjoys dancing (this comes up in his comics, kind of a lot) or how he says he'll stop by the rooftop bar after he's done patrolling (he's the only knight that actually drinks IIRC)

then there's the animations, Jason in particular is incredibly well animated, several of his take downs show him practicing restraint actively as a choice. The three pistol strikes to the gut takedown has him Strike once, twice, he fills with rage, aims at the face, time slows, and he switches direction mid swing to land a third hit to the stomach. In the comics he often goes for below the belt strikes, and the game has another take down where he throws a dude into the air, looks at their crotch at eye level, and instead grabs and throws them instead of following through with a crotch punch.
