Following the guides I managed to install the game perfectly. Important to realize is that once you log in to Games for Windows Live inside the game, you have to let it run for as long as it wants to. It may take hours, but once it's done, you're home free!

Managed to play one of the Black Ops so far. Atmospheric, moody, with Russian accented mission voiceover. It's a lot less polished than Blacklight: Retributionw as, and the upgrading is more linear, but if you held BL:R close to your heart and sometimes get an ache when thinking back, you can play the prequel and keep the flame alive.

Multiplayer is possible, but it's a lobby system, not a server. Check the guides and you will find a local Discord group who will be your pool for groupies now. People who stay here longer are likely to resemble the old dedicated BL:R crowd. I expect to find more of the same banter as well, for better or worse.
