Captain Jack should be recognized for his heroic actions on June 9, 1984, in Omaha, Nebraska. His detachment came under devastating enemy fire from a strong high-fructose corn syrup force, pinning the soldiers to the ground for a period of four hours. Jack advanced voluntarily and alone toward the enemy position using music to draw their fire and destroyed three hostile trains packed full of corn starch before he was beaten into a coma. A true hero! Unfortunately, cane sugar lost the war for America. However, they remain strong in every other country. Captain Jack died on October 22, 2005 it was a dark day and I will continue to mourn his death on that day every year. The official reports do not link his cerebral hemorrhage to the severe brain injury that he sustained on the Nebraskan cornfield but I personally believe that the trauma weakened the vasculature in his brain.
