Development all but deserted. Abandon hope all ye who enter

Stupid fun, grindy without seeming like it (sometimes), and occasionally a fancy cinematic quest

An excellent homage to DOOM of old, reinvented in a refreshing mix of amazing graphics, impressive sound design, and old twitch-shooter style mechanics. Captures the spirit of DOOM well with minimum story, maximum action, and a Super Shotgun. Definitely the best single player based FPS I've played since Bioshock 2.

As for the multiplayer, I haven't played it much but it's an interesting mix of arena twitch shooter and a loadout based game. Movement feels fluid and fast (more so than in the beta) and weapons are relatively balanced.

All in all, an excellent game and I'd definitely recommend it. Go smash some demons' skulls

Stayed up until 2:30AM playing this on the night before an exam. Did not regret it.

Original voice actors, fluid mechanics, looks nice, and has tachikomas.

A little content lacking currently but that's not really a problem since it's early in development

One of the Best platformers ever. Intuitive, imaginative, innovative, and a great story-teller. I definitely did NOT cry in the first 10 minutes.

Great gameplay mechanics, gorgeous visuals, and brilliant story telling mix to give a really great game.

However, beware. Depite all that, it's still a platformer. Be prepared to try and try again at the same section. And again. And again.

100% worth it though. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone, even if they aren't a fan of platformers.

Admittedly it hasn't aged well, but that can be expected from a 17 year-old game.

In any case, the port is a good one, no problems with quality or crashing, no issues with any mechanics and whatnot. Overall, just like I remember it from the good old days of gaming.

If you're already a FF fan and you just want to relive the old games without digging out a PS1, this is certainly a brilliant way to go. And if you're not already a FF fan, you should be. I'd reccomend starting with FFVI, VII, or VIII. And for anyone younger folk who've played pokemon, this is kinda like that but with much more depth. It's just better all around. (Don't hate me for drawing those parallels, they're definitely there.)

Also, DO NOT play it with a keyboard. Only way to properly play anf FF is to plug in a gamepad.

Get the game. It's great.

Awesome fun. And I can't be bothered to type anymore because I want to play it.
