The Zone is a cruel and harsh place, so you will die a lot from anomalies, mutants as well as other players. PvP plays a crucial role in the gameplay of STALCRAFT:X, and there are no intentions to eliminate it or create PvE-only servers. However, this Fall, we plan to roll out a major update for several early-game zones to reduce the complexity and smooth the learning curve. We will also move the paths of Stalkers and Bandits further apart to improve the PvP experience for newcomers. For example, developers plan to expand The Swamps to relocate Stalkers and Bandits bases further apart and relocate the Diggers base from Scrapyard to Agrocomplex/Black Willows to make PvP encounters less forced. Along with various other adjustments to improve the experience for new players. What is more, there is other PvE content in development, such as replayable group dungeons!

As for the time-to-kill, bolt-action sniper in STALCRAFT:X are designed as support weapons, inflicting a lot of bleeding and greatly slowing down your opponents, so one-shots from sniper rifles are quite rare in the game.
