Loved to play the game, it was a good pc edition of a board game.

However, they just shut down online play, wich defeats the point... Don't waste your money.

Not having finished the story for my first playtrough, I'd still say that there is something I can't describe about this "Game" or interactive story. it's uncanny, but very interesting and the atmosphere is beyond amazing. There are signs of sex apeal but not in a way that takes away from the story.

The game is uncanny in a way that it feels dystopicly real and the androids are made in a way that that you can't tell, why you can tell who is human and who is android.(other than the glowing temple thing)

Overall the gameplay itself isn't great, but it's how its making you think and feel that really makes this an experiance not akin to any other.

I'd reccomend it very much and I'd like to think this game would apeal to female gamers especially(but I might be wrong, being male myself)

I tried the demo and fell in love, but then waited a long time to actually play it.

I'd say that a controller is requiered, as the controlls are clunky with mouse and keyboard, but who doesn't have a controller connected to their PC?

Cons: It has quicktime events

It's a very chill, casual game, perfect to play with your partner. Numerous times have we sat around just laughing until we cried. Great fun at a low cost :)

When Total war moved into the gunpowder eara for real with EMPIRE, they made a masterpiece.

One cannot simply review Empire without mentioning Napoleon.

Where empire is bigger, more factions, longer and has more depth in reserch and such, it lacks some quality of life like graphics, mupltiplayer campain and better artillery. Empire is the better of the two in my opinion.

A true gem and if not the very best total war of them all, then it's at least top3.

Early Access Review
As a player who have played quite a bit of realistic shooters (Red Orchestra 1 & 2, rising storm, Squad etc.

Clearly HLL is comparable to Post Scriptum.

I can say that I enjoy this game very much and that it works well.

Tank warfare is done right, balancing seams fine and the community is what one would expect. (Exept a few racist french servers)

Overall it seams to work fine, the range of SMG's seams a bit low. Machinegunners are close to perfect, only slightly beaten by Red Orchestra 2, who did it perfect.

The Bolt action rifle, primariy the Mauser Karabiner 98k, wich behaves a bit less than stellar. Again, Red Orchestra did Bolt action rifles better.

A bit of warning. Prepare to die. a-lot.

You don't play, you Enlist. Good luck.

In many ways, this is back to the glory days of RO2, but with Finns and Sovjets.

For being a community made mod, it is amazing.

But it it isn't flawless.

But if you liked Red Orchestra and Rising storm. you will like this...

I found this simulator very amusing, interesting and somewhat fun :)

Being in a country where access to real guns of military quality is a long, costly and complicated adventure. Being able to dissasemble, assemble and look at the working parts of guns you just shoot in countless games is.. LIBERATING!

With slowmotions and xrays and "ghost parts" you can learn every detail, in as slow as 1/50 of real speed.

Some parts of the game can be frustrating since they want you to dissaselmbe in a somethimes wierd order for what you'd be doing in real life(in my experiance)

If you just go by the free parts of the game, unlocking new firearms take quite a bit of time, but by the time you've mastered the firearms you have acces to, I'm comfident to say you could with a very small degree of diffaculty do it with a real firearm too.

You migth want to spend a few dollars on a DLC , but if you like the game, it's worth it.

So if you are a aboow avrage gun nut(Firearms entusiast) I would reccomed this game highly.

I give it a 87% score, based upon some clunky animations on the shooting range, the lack of trademarks on some firearms and weird parts of some weapons(the mp5 is the only one i've rly noticed this on so far) And the lack of GREAT grapichs, But this migth change since it's somewhat in a beta for the time being (late sept 2014)

and it's free (if you don't need the dlc's or shortcuts)
