Bethesda showcased it running on Samsung G9 at 5120x1440.

It’s been 6 months and they still haven’t added a native 32:9 support. Solutions available result in constant aspect ratio shifting to 16:9 when going to menu and coming out of it.

Despite many short comings and being a broken mess, I still highly recommend the game.

It is a shame that Microsoft failed to deliver a finished game, it is in the same state as No Man’s Sky when it originally but there is hope for it.

I have already put in over 400h playing it on the Xbox PC side before I ran into a game breaking bug and decided to convert my save file hoping it would save it, and it did. My character refused to sit to finish a final mission and there was no fix for it and I had no earlier save (the closest working one was 20h out).

Regardless, I love this game and no amount of bugs or issues could change that because it’s simply a great game.

Edit 31/01/2024: Well that was quick lol.

So a new update dropped just now addressing all the bugs I personally had issues with that even stopped m playing the game at some point. The performance improved a lot as well. To my surprise they added 32:9, finally!

Performance: 5120 x 1440, maxed out with max FOV, frame generation is on and DLSS is set to quality. I get 120FPS+ everywhere now, the main city is the only place I drop to 85fps now. It has improved by at least 30 FPS overall.

I am on Intel 4790K running at 4.8GHz - 5.0 GHz. A very old CPU but works great. I also have 4090 and DDR3 RAM that runs at 3200mhz. It is an unusual setup, my CPU is now utilised around 80% and my GPU is 99%. A 500MB/s SSD does affect the game, NVME or at least 1GB/s fast NVME/SSD is the lowest I would say.

This performance and how the game is right now should have been the launch condition, Xbox rushed it because Sony was getting too far ahead, was it worth it? I don't know, I love the game all the same and expect a free full DLC to make up for it. Learn from No Man Sky, take care of your player base. Bring proper CO-OP support to the game.

I am going to finally enjoy the game, although late, well done devs, you finally did it.
