[EDIT]
I am changing my review to positive. Thank you so much to the Dev Mastercoms for reaching out and explaining why achievements weren't working, and very promptly fixing the issue. I have confirmed that achievements are now working for me! Also after playing the game more, its starting to feel more and more like original Half-life. Looking forward to the future of this game. {original review kept below for posterity}
[END EDIT]

The gameplay isn't bad. Still sort of feels little like playing Half-Life, but just a little off. I think it works as a *very short* prologue, but... none of the Achievements work for me. I've tried restarting the game multiple times, played 4 different New Games, used only the crowbar and Grav Gun, carried the gnome through with both the Grav Gun and only using E to pickup, stood on the note for over a minute looking directly at it, shot the Aperture Science logo... Nothing works, not even the achievement for actually completing the game. Very weird.

Bro why in the f*ck did they add a 2K launcher to this game after all this time? I've already played the game ~33 hours prior, and reinstalled to go through the series again... and I'm greeted with a new 2K launcher?? Jesus Christ man, stop with this stuff people. STOP IT!! GET SOME HELP!!

EDIT: Found a fix to bypass the launcher in the Discussions section. Just go to the Properties of the game in your Library, then add this command below to your Launch Options (Remember to replace the directory with the correct one for your installation):

"D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\BioShock Remastered\Build\Final\BioshockHD.exe" -run %command%

Not sure why I hadn't recommended this game before now (sorry about that ConcernedApe). Simply put, the game is amazing and incredibly satisfying. There's so much more to it than just a farming sim. I have more fun playing Stardew than most other games, which is why I keep coming back to it through the years. ConcernedApe is an incredible dev who's work is much needed in these trying times. There's also TONS of mods out there to help spice up subsequent playthroughs. If you were ever in doubt of whether this game was worth buying, then I can assure you that your concerns are unwarranted. BUY THIS GAME NOW!

EDIT: Still coming back to this game after all these years. The amazing modding community also inspired me to create my own mod for the game, and release it on Nexus. It was my first ever public game mod and its gotten 800+ downloads. I really hope this game continues to be played far into the future!

Bruh... this game sucks so hard... and not in a good way.

Pros - Easy 100% Achievements in much less than 10 minutes. One decent jazz tune (Nheo Nhóc by Sinh Lam). One decent CG with the lady cop.

Cons - It's incredibly simplistic with no penalties for anything at all. There's no satisfaction from the gameplay. Most of the CGs are just meh or okay at best. On top of that - you only earn 1 Trading Card in the short times it takes to beat, so you have to leave the game running in the background just to get the other 2 cards.

Best to get this on sale for like $0.50 cuz its really not even worth the $0.99 that it costs. You can use the other $0.49 for buying the rest of the trading cards, since you only get 3 drops with this game.

A nice sequel to My Cute Fuhrer. Gameplay improved - More Choices with More Routes - Lo-Fi still slaps - Free 18+ Patch... All is good

EDIT:
Just realized the game doesn't count in Perfect Games for 100% completion, even though MCF does. Kinda disappointing. Should've paid more attention to the store page, I guess.

Bro... the Lo-Fi on this game... I really wasn't expecting it to be this good for such an inexpensive game. I think it's worth it for that alone, but the game play is actually pretty fun as well. Its worth full price, but a sale is just icing on the cake.

This game is so good. A great continuation and expansion of the story. I cannot wait for the future installments in this universe. Definitely worth the full price!

If you're having issues with stuttering and choppiness, try setting the F.E.A.R.exe file to Compatibility Mode for Windows XP (SP2).
This totally fixed it for me, and now I can enjoy this classic in its full graphics glory. Enjoy!

I'm not professional reviewer, so I'll keep this short...

This is a great winter survival simulation game. The devil is in the details with this one.
There are a lot of great nuances in the game that can't be explained, but only experienced by playing.
I originally put in 220 hours over the course of a month, then somehow broke the spell and was able to quit for a while.
I really wish the Story mode was completed, and that Hinterland would focus more on releasing episodes, then providing updates for the Survival mode... but the new updates to Survival got me to start playing again, so meh...

Bottom Line - the game is highly worth checking out if you're into this genre. Enjoy the Quiet Apocalypse...
