Much like TESV:Skyrim, Terraria is a game that has been around the block and back. Terraria has been ported to mobile platforms, portable, and the major consoles. It is a game that has stood trial many times throughout it's developement cycle and when faced with adversity, Terraria perservered thanks to it's developers who poured so much love and passion into it, which practically brought Terraria back from an early grave, since then the game has had many content and quality of life updates and still has a huge one in the works. I definitely recommend checking this game out. If not for it's many features and fun to be had, get Terraria for it's price this game is marketed very modestly and goes on sale more than anything.

Terraria is now a complete experience (not that it wasn't before.) and I couldn't be happier with the state of the game. Relogic team has made many improvements both minor and major to quality of life, progression, balance, and game feel. Journey mode is a perfect place to start as it's basically creative mode that you have to earn (also a great resource for builders custom difficulty playthroughs.) and while some preferred the old, slap all your npcs in a tight confined space, (not that you can't still do that.) I love the new town system. (mainly because i did towns the old fashioned way by linking many teleporters.) Biome torches via torch god's favor is both really helpful for fighting corruption/crimson (or really any biome for that matter, even determining what biome you're in currently.) and converting torches into biome torches. There is also a rumored may patch that will add new content in addition to tmodloader recently entering an unstable beta build for 1.4. If you haven't booted up terraria in a while, now is the time to do so. It will feel like a completely different game. I could go on and on about this game, but i'll leave it here so enjoy the many hours of fun. (Little bit of advice from someone who just beat master mode as a summoner. If you want a challenge play expert mode, if you want to punish yourself play master.)
