I've been trying to go back to Fallout 4 for ages now.
I finished it at launch, but haven't touched it properly since.
Tried like 10 times already to get back on the F4 saddle, maybe finally finish all those Season Pass DLCs and stuff.
But something about it just.......naaaahhhhhh.... And I uninstall after a few minutes of playing.
Rinse and repeat.

This thing, however. This thing!

This is the third time I try getting into this thing. Bought it during Summer Sale 2022.
I always create a new Character when I've tried getting into it.
First one was called ONEGIGANTICPU55Y. Second one SuckU4Crack. And my current one's called ChokeMeDaddy.

ONEGIGANTICPU55Y's tryout ran like absolute ♥♥♥♥. I remember running along in the forest and all of a sudden a whole damn building rendered in on top of me, and every door was locked. Pop-ins, stutter, lag, fps drops, the whole shebang!
Bailed because of poor performance.

SuckU4Crack was better, however. Played with a friend. Tried doing a melee build 4tehlulz cus I had never in my Fallout playing days (3, NV, 4) played with the melee. Ever. Soon found out that I was either terrible at building a melee character or that melee builds wouldn't be optimal early game. Bailed on SuckingU4Crack cus me and my friend stopped playing together.

Now, with ChokeMeDaddy, I'm playing all alone, I've put in 15 hours already, I'm level 20 right now, and I'm liking this game SO much that I decided to try a Fallout 1st subscription. I haven't really checked out whatever's included in that sub, aside from the Atom coins I used to get 40 Repair Kits lol.

But I don't know... I'm dealing with some occasional micro stuttering, which is annoying, especially when they happen during combat, but other than that I think the game looks and runs great on my subpar rig.

I haven't tried either Cyberpunk since Launch week (didn't experience many bugs tbh) nor have I ever tried No Man's Sky, but I hear they are both amazing today, even if they had awful launches...
Can't help but wonder if Fallout 76 could be put in the same category: Games that Launched like ♥♥♥♥ but with steady updates managed to redeem themselves and become pretty damn good!

I'm only writing this now because there was some sort of server update and stuff, so I can't play right now...

But day 19 of No Nut November, and Fallout 76 comes in great for keeping my hands off my Nuts!!

Strongly recommend! Well worth the $40 bucks and I didn't feel compelled to buy a subscription. Just decided to because I had $18 in my Steam Wallet, and as you know; Steam Wallet money is money you ain't ever getting back!
