Overpriced. I think 5€ would be a fair price

TL;DR It is fun, but also pretty bad.

First the good things:
Building your city is as much fun as in CS1.
Many features added by mods to CS1 are now in the base game. Roundabouts, splitting roads, parallel roads and grids. I don't know exactly what else got added which was provided by mods in CS1 but I don't miss any features except three.

Which is also the perfect transition to the bad things:
TM:PE provided timed traffic lights, signs (stop, give way, ...) and a line tool.
CS2 provides stop signs and to some extend it is possible to disable left/right turns on junctions.

I mentioned earlier that roundabout are now in the base game. Yet if the traffic increases, it is better to build them yourself. I have not figured out how (or if) it is possible to assign two turning lanes for each exit. In CS1 I would have done that with the line tool provided by TM:PE, but in CS2 it is not possible.
So let's assume all cars take the same entry to the roundabout and 90% want to take the first exit. Now 90% of the cars try to get onto the far right lane before entering the roundabout basically making my 8 lane road 1 lane road as this is the only lane allowing them to exit.

The car AI also seems to not really be much smarter compared to CS1. Building a highway around your city with two exits results in most cars taking the first exit even if there is an extreme traffic jam. From a temporal perspective it would be smart to drive on the highway and take the second exit to reach your destination yet only residents with homes directly at that exit take the longer (longer in meters, not time) route. Honestly I expected better considering how it was advertised.

The simulation also seems kind of broken to me. I created a discussion if someone is interested in it.

I played to 100k residents and the simulation randomly stops. The game itself is running fine but cars stop, zoning is delayed... .Feels like someone pressed the pause button.

Everybody knows about the performance. They fixed most stuttering for me in the first patch and I am now running this game on Medium settings with ~40 fps at 100k residents.

In my 35 hours of playtime I enjoyed building my city despite the problems.

safe block strings with 20% chip damage and safe armored wake-ups dealing 30% damage are just amazing

This game is basically MW 2019 with some minor, mostly negative, changes.

- Mechanics like jump peaking got nerfed. ADS while doing so is super slow.
- Sliding got nerfed so hard it is completely useless now. They could've just removed it from the game.
- Animations for streaks take forever. They even added an animation for activating Dead Silence (??!!) and it
also makes a noise enemies can hear.
- Weapon attachments make the weapon worse most of the time. Adding a bigger magazine results in
significantly slower ADS speed. Additionally adding a sliencer results in ADS times of nearly a second. Using
an optic, maybe a stock and a different ammo type is usually the way to go.
- SBMM is still in the game. Everybody knows what that is by now so I won't elaborate on this further.
- Weapon balance is super busted. SMGs are worse than ARs, most of them even in close quarters. The one-
shot marksman rifle with faster ADS time than basically every other gun in the game might be the most
broken gun I have ever witnessed in any FPS. LMGs = ARs with bigger mags & slower ADS.
- Leveling one weapon unlocks attachments that can be used by a different weapon. To unlock a red dot
sight you have to play a shotgun to level 7. Very confusing and bad system.
- Unlocking new weapons is also pretty weird. It's not bound to your overall level but to the level of certain
guns. M4 (AR) -- lvl 15 --> FTAC Recon (BR) -- lvl 10 --> FSS Hurricane (SMG)
- The menu is dreadful. Tons of submenus and everything is designed horizontally and navigating it with a
mouse is awful. Returning from the gunsmith back to the lobby requires me to hit ESC 7 times. In addition
to that it also very laggy.
- Joining lobbies in general is super laggy. Stuttering and lags for a few seconds are pretty common.
10 seconds left until the match starts while you are in the gunsmith and you want to quit? Well you better
be lucky it won't lag for multiple seconds.
- Most maps are as bad as they were in MW 2019. Out of 10 6v6 maps 2 are good, 3 are decent, and the rest
is utter garbage.
- No challenges except for camos. No stats. Nothing.
- A lot of little but annoying bugs e.g. playing Spec-Ops resets all of your keybinds. It seems like there has
been little to none testing.

Playing shotguns is super fun, but overall I would not recommend this game. It definetly has potential. Just like all the previous games.

Two things surprised me about this game:
1. They managed to release a game worse than Battlefield 2042
2. They managed to make it even more campy compared to MW2019

good gamplay (mix of dark souls and little bit sekiro), interesting open world, nice boss fights, sadly the loot from dungeons is most of the time pretty boring and the game stutters sometimes. 8.5/10

battlefield 2042 has zero bugs, server performance is perfect, weapons are very accurate and the bullets always connect if you hit your target. vehicles are balanced, especially the hovercraft and m5c bolte with the top mounted 30mm full auto cannon (transport vehicle btw, at least 5 per map). I am happy they used the correct gender language in the german language pack, that's probably why they didn't have enough time to make good maps
