Dragon age veteran, Played through origins, 2, and inquisition more times then I can count- played every class-start, and most variations of imports to inquisition. Thousands of hours into dragon age. Throughout pc and console.

Dragon age veilguard is a solid entry into Dragon age- the Story points that we need are there. However I would certainly put it akin with dragon age 2,(maybe Mass effect can be mentioned) Which were phenomenal in its own ways(as we all know) Although they dont reuse every map and every resource or even really any in that regard. The maps are so linear. And the choices so far dont hold up to origins- but I wouldnt call them bad at all- Found a few heartbreaking.
Only 2 issues were the Qunari look....Nothing like Qunari- Which inquisition did aswell and I hated it-but forgave them once for. This is like the Klingons all over again.
and world building seems to be lesser then other entries as they focus on the companions stories- and companions are used to build the world. Rather then a living breathing world DA has always felt like. They also rely heavily on graphics to do world building- Very Pretty- Not that i care.

I do have issue with all Dragon Ages since 2 refusing to touch base or even attempt at anything bonechilling such as the events leading up to the broodmother(origins)- PG Dragon Age since Inquisition- Veilguard does the same treatment- no horror elements whatsoever.

Wonderful game that scratches most FFtactics, Tactics ogre let us cling together, disgaea etc. needs. It combines most elements of the games you'd want it too.
