Project Zomboid is an in-depth open-world zombie survival RPG where you scavenge for resources, build structures, and strategically plan to survive each day. The only certainty is that you will die. The base game is excellent, and its experience can be further enhanced with workshop mods, such as those adding realism, reshaders, weapons, traits, occupations, and more. The game's biggest downside is its steep learning curve, which may deter some players. However, the depth of customization and the addition of workshop mods make it a rewarding experience for those who persevere. One notable feature is the multiplayer option, allowing you to choose to survive the apocalypse with friends or go solo. This flexibility adds to the game's overall appeal. This is one of the few games I would recommend buying even if at its full price.
