I'm writing this review post patch 13 but have played the game for a while. Darktide had a rough launch but through the regular updates Fatshark has pulled a lot back. It had issues with the crafting system, stability, and mission selection.

Over time the issues have improved. Crafting is much better than launch and the class overhaul has introduced some fun new skills for each class.
Endgame has also improved with the new Auric Damnation difficulty and Maelstrom missions.
Combat in this game is a lot of fun and the Ai director's self adjusting spawns can really pile on the pressure in the higher difficulty levels.

So is the game worth it now? I would say yes and I'm looking forward to seeing what other updates we get.

Brilliant DLC with enough meat on it to enjoy. The references and nods to the original movie were outstanding especially that scene near the end!

What's not to like? Bunch of A-Holes trying to save the galaxy from Crazed Whack jobs? Peter Quill's Music, constant banter? Drax leaping into combat every second.

All I can say is buy the Flarking Game humie!

The Shadow of Mordor games have been one of the most enjoyable for me, and this one especially has been great. No more Loot-Boxes, and the much complained about final section was streamlined.
For this game, imagine a combination of Batman Arkham series gameplay with Assassins creed elements.
The Nemesis system works really well and gives you a lot of different unique enemies and allies to deal with. Some people don't like the fortress sieges but I personally really enjoyed it.
Yes it does play fast an loose with the lore but the story does fit in somewhat between the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings.
Great game, one of my Favourites.

Got this game in a sale after playing the demo. What can I say about Ghostrunner? Do you like a Cyberpunk setting? Do you like fast pasted movement games? Do you like dying over and over until you finally get that perfect kill? Do you enjoy speedruns? This is one of those games.
In Ghostrunner everything dies in one hit (Including you scrub!) so this game is all about movement, precision is the watchword, You will need precise movement across the environment & precise timings of your trusty sword and abilities to beat the game, and a whole ton of patience! Make no mistake you WILL DIE so if you get mad at dying this game probably isn't for you. This game is for those who TRY and TRY again.
There are some sections that will kill you repeatedly and test your patience to the limit (I'm looking at you TOM! Have a Safe trip!) But it's worth it, definitely a game to snap up on sale and the demo gives you an idea what to expect.
Git Gud scrub, and finish the climb up the tower!

I recently purchased this game in the Steam Summer sale. After finishing this game and the Frozen wilds expansion I feel that I am in a good place to review it now.

First up the graphics are amazing, this game is beautiful especially if you have a high end system to run it on. The environments are breathtaking and for a post apocalyptic game it was refreshing to see nature reclaiming the decayed ruins of humanity.

The story is solid and epic, while I will not spoil it here Aloy's journey from Outcast with an unknown past to realising her truth is gripping, and the story of Humanity's downfall is tragic and compelling as you uncover the secrets of the past and the reason why the machines exist and humanity lives as primitive tribes.
The story itself has set up the possibility of multiple sequels and other antagonists.

The combat is solid and challenging, taking down the bigger machines for the first time in an epic fight feels extremely rewarding. Though I will admit that there are subtleties to the combat system that the game does not hold your hand with.
Like a hunter you will have to plan your approach and be careful not to engage too many machines at once. (But I will admit that the most fun fights were ones where I had multiple machines gatecrash my planned fight and I barely scraped through)

All in all I heard good things and this turned out to be way better than I expected. I'm hyped for the follow up Horizon: Forbidden West.

Should you buy it? Definitely.

Had a lot of fun in this game over time. Sure its not everyone's cup of tea I understand but settlements building has its draw as does the expansions adding more layers. I wish the character was more of a blank slate and that there were more dialogue options but overall I love the setting and it kept me coming back.

Early Access Review
This game is really addictive, you get to craft items, gather resources, build a cool base, sail the sea (watch out for sea serpents!), fight monsters, brave harsh climates and kill bosses in a massive open world.
For a game that's not finished yet I'm amazed at how much fun this is.
Definitely recommended!

Got to admit that this one surprised me, got it in the Steam sale and while it is short the game is a fun single player experience. Music and Atmosphere are top notch, they even included the old song from the original Terminator club scene!
The final missions fighting alongside other resistance troops felt very fast paced and immersive and there's plenty of nods to the first two Terminator films (the only ones that matter) in this game. Infiltrator mode free DLC was also really cool to play as a T-800.
If you see this on sale and enjoy a single player first person shooter and are a fan of the Terminator films this one is worth a buy! Best thing to happen to the franchise in a very long time!

Well this was a surprise. I have always enjoyed the Mad max films and picked up the game in Steam sale for cheap. Now as I am writing this I have finished the game but I will try not to spoil anything.

Let me just say that the game is a ton of fun, the driving mechanics and combat are great (think GTA meets Arkham/Shadow of Mordor) and there's a lot to do in the wasteland between the exploration, loot, story quests, convoys and death racing. The story is excellent very Mad Max with plenty of cool moments and it really sets the scene for Fury road.

The only criticism I would have is how much of the game is looting and fetching and that the pace seems a little off with some advanced upgrades being unlocked and weaker upgrades gated behind quests that are very late in the game, the map feels a little too big so that makes the looting get very samey.

All in all I would recommend the game. It's worth it and I was surprised at how good it was. Definitely worth a pickup especially on sale!
